So I am getting quite near to the end now, it has taken me a lot longer than I thought. It's been a great experience though, I hope I don't have to do it again for a long time as it has really slowed me down listening to new releases! I'm a good 3-4 months behind!
Here are the thoughts from Part 4!
44. Buono! are the best produced H!P band right now. Why aren't the rest of them produced like this?!
45. SCANDAL never disappoint. Their version of 'Rock n Roll Widow' is very good.
46. Losing Aya Matsuura in that ridiculous 'Elder Club' graduation, was undoubtedly the stupidest thing Tsunku has ever done.
47. When will Lissie have a second album? This is a powerful debut, really enjoyable first album is 'Catching a Tiger'
48. I have a LOT of Depeche Mode! Argh I can't get sick of them though, they are so good.
49. The start of Depeche Mode's 'World in my Eyes' has a slight resemblance to the start of Madonna's 'Like a Virgin'
50. I think Depeche Mode's 'I Feel You' would have sounded awesome covered by original INXS, Michael Hutchence's voice would have rocked this song.
51. Queen songs really, really shouldn't be tampered with. There was a rapper in one of them and it sounded terrible.
52. 'Waiting' by Cheryl Cole is sampling Vanessa Carlton's 'A Thousand Miles' and just speeding it up. Weird. 'Boy Like You' is sampling something as well, I just can't put my finger on it?
53. Cheryl Cole's 'wannabe gangsta' type in her songs is absolutely hilarious. She needs better songwriters, she sounds way too try-hard in a lot of her songs, especially in her second album. Oh god, cringey.
54. Kate Bush's piano for 'The Empty Bullring' is extremely chilling. There's something about it that gives me shivers. She is incredible. There's a part in 'Kashka from Baghdad' that is similar. She is a genius. I love her.
55. 'Destiny ~ Taiyou no Hana' by Hitomi Shimatani sounds like it is sampling The Beatles 'Eleanor Rigby' at the start.
56. Namie Amuro's voice has gotten gradually lower and huskier over the years. I still love her, but earlier on her voice was clearer.
57. Nakanomori BAND were awesome, so sad they broke up, what a waste!
