Gakusen season 1 (having Nakazawa Yuuko in it is a BIG bonus )

currently watching Attention Please on TV... it is funny but sometimes I just feel like hitting Misaki-san over the head with a rolled up newspaper

There are other doramas I've watched that are funny but it doesn't fall in the comedy genre coz its more drama. But than most dorama mixes comedy with drama that its hard to separate the two. One example I have watched is Secret Garden. nice story

My favorite funny dorama has to be Densha Otoko.

Puzzle is the funniest dorama airing now... (I think)

^ haha, Nakatsu was awesome in Hana Kimi! i loved when he was thinking out loud doing movements to his thoughts and his rose framed views of Ashiya. my favourite char in Hana Kimi... although Maki-chan >>> Toma.

I'm watching Attention Please right now. It's my first J-dorama, and so far I love it. I'm gonna miss watching it, I'll watch some more Aya Ueto J-doramas.
I forget who first mentioned Attention Please, but thanks! lol.

Nodame Cantabile is hilarious! I love the manga and the drama made it so much better. The actor playing Milch was great, he was a perfect fit. It was pretty neat how they portrayed all the comic violence and stuff.

It's been a while since I have seen it, but Shotgun Marriage (I only remember the translated title right now, sorry) was pretty funny from what I remember. At least, I remember laughing at a lot of parts. I think it was a little sappy too - it's been 2 years since I have seen it and my memory is terrible but I know I enjoyed it.

Gokusen was a good funny one too, but I only saw a little bit of that, don't know how well it continues.

I try to swap my dramas from sad to silly (with a historical one mixed in ever so often) so I don't get too depressed.

Funny K-drama stuff I saw if people are looking for other areas to watch: Rooftop Room Cat (funny in the "that guy is such a terrible guy" way though), My Lovely Sam-soon, Successful Story of Bright Girl, My Girl (although it has its fair share of angst) & Goong (Palace, Princess Hours).

Hana Kimi is so funny. Hana Yori Dango has its funny moments but it's like when I hear the theme songs somewhere I start to cry because it's so good.
Kimi wa Petto is funny also~ Maybe. If I remember right. But it was cute, not sure about the funnyness.
Everyone says Stand Up! was so funny~ Well for me it was, it was, but I was a little bit shocked always while watching it.
Gokusen is funny. Especially the first season. But every season has its bonuses.
1 Pound no Fukuin's first episode was pretty funny. That "gutless glutton" was the best. It really made me laugh so hard.
But it was also a bit boring to me~
Nobuta wo Produce was funny, it made me laugh many times~
And Yuukan Club has so many funny moments.
Zettai Kareshi is funny also. Especially Night's "Riiko, ore sexy?"

Too bad though, I can't find any subbed episodes of her other doramas.

for the latest jdorama..spring 2008..i suggest zettai kareshi..at the beginning of the series..kinda slow..but it becoming interesting and funny form ep to each new ep..
already 9 ep that beung subbed by sars fansubs

Sorry, I can't quite contribute yet because I've just been getting into doramas, but thanks for all of the recommendations! One of the drama's I've watched that made me laugh (well, a little anyway, I haven't watched that many, unfortunately, but that's soon to change~! ) was Nobuta wo Produce. First one I saw. Nobuta's really harsh "...AKIRA." made me laugh over and over again
