On April 18 Kumai-chan appeared twice as a model in designer Junko Koshino's fashion show SOU X MODE at Tokyo University of the Arts.

Yurina has been sharing pics from a special photoshoot tribute she did to the late fashion designer Yumi Katsura.

Here are a couple of them. 

Kumaicho has said Katsura was the first to give her a chance as a model after Berryz Kobo.

And she worked with her future husband for the first time in some of Katsura's bridal fashion shows.

Today July 31:  Kumai Yurina Birthday Event 2024 ~ Kumai-chan and Everyone's Summer Vacation~.

 

She will be 31 on August 3.

Kumaicho announced she will soon be the director of a new fashion brand. Congrats to her!

 

Yurina said she was worried that if she got married, her fans would leave or hate her. She is very happy that did not happen and is thankful for everyone's support.     

 

Reporter Kumai-chan will appear on KanafulTV this week, August 4.

Her birthday casual dinner shows will take place on August 11 and 12. She says she wants to try to sing 31 songs during the four performances- if her voice survives!  She usually sings 12.

She also modeled several other dresses solo.

During the MC, Kumaicho said she wants to continue doing her dinner shows and singing Berryz Kobo songs. However, although she did not tell the staff, she recently thought once or twice about quitting this year,. But she's glad she decided to keep doing them in the future.

I'm glad, too! Yurina is doing a lot to help keep Berryz songs alive. I love her for this.   

 

* The new fashion brand she will be working with as director is named Bearlis. She has not made an official announcement yet on her blog, x or Insta.

On Saturday March 29 she appeared at the Sustainable Fashion Design Award ceremony in Tokyo.

Yurina recently posted some photos with her husband on Instagram. They got the attention of Japanese media like Oricon and Yahoo Japan, where the pair were praised as a "cool tall couple". 

I'm glad she is not shy about sharing pics of them together.

The title of the event is a joke about the fact that her 2024 b'day events all started late.

 

Yurina was born at 2:08pm. When the clock in the venue said that time during the first event, all of the fans sang "Happy Birthday" to her.

 

A fan brought her six-year old daughter to one of the events. Kumaicho sat down on the corner of the stage and had a conversation with the little girl.

 

During the game corner Kumai-chan drew a picture of something (idk what) and is going to show it to Captain. She called Saki-chan a "master artist" (ah, Berryz memories...  ). She will share Cap's  reaction on her blog.

 

A few days before her birthday, Yurina and Maasa had a date. Mama gave her a gift.
