Hi all~My (Screen) name is Afya. I'm from Hong Kong but moved to the US. Now studying Engineering and hopefully this will be my last semester.

I'm on MM fever when my music player rolled on some of their songs. (Although I have those songs sitting in my music library for a while.....)

I like all 5~8 kei members. Before that, I don't really know much. 9-10 kei, I still don't know them much but I'll see when they get more exposure. I'm Chinese so JunJun/LinLin is definitely on my favorite list . Reina is cute and Risa is very cool.

Hey everyone.

New forum user, been lurking around for a long long time and finally decided to become active here aswell.
Norwegian, aged 32, male, who was introduced to the world of J-pop through a friend (forcefully) which started with Buono.
After a few years I started listening to the radio shows here to improve my poor japanese, and my interest for the H!P music grew out of controll (and I`m glad now )

Been studying movie and television for 2 years now, working while waiting to hopefully continue studying later this year.

Was a lucky concert goer in Paris beeing able to experience Buono live, and came home inspired.

Currently listening to Buono, C-ute, Berryz, but also Yui, Maximum the Hormone, and tons of soundtracks from japanese movies and anime.

well since lurkette unlocked the thread i might as well do an introduction about a year late lmao

 

anyway i'm yuri (or melo or kat w/e i'm probably gonna change my username a lot), i'm 15 and i use she/her pronouns. i found h!p in august 2019 thanks to this airi mv and now i never shut up about h!p ever. i'm mostly here cuz i don't have twitter and most of the h!p fandom is there so i just stick around here to avoid complete loneliness lmao. i post a lot about ruru and meichan and uutan and all my faves but i love all the girls and constantly talk about them. i'm also a huge fan of 48/46g (specifically akb48 and keyakizaka46) and love rambling about zukki and yuunaa though i usually keep that contained to mastodon. lastly i also love blue exorcist a lot but i don't really talk about it for some reason lol

My timeline as a fan.

2007: I was a huge anime fan, looking for good J-POP, and became a Morning Musume fan exclusively.

2009: I went to Los Angeles to attend Morning Musume's first concert in the United States.
          It was my first time abroad, and also my first time attending a Hello! Project concert.

2010: This time I went to Paris, France to attend Morning Musume at Japan Expo.

2013: I became more interested in the Hello! Project when I became a fan of C-ute after the release of a catchy song.
          My favorite members of C-ute were Mai and Maimi.

2014: Back in the US to attend Morning Musume '14 at the Best Buy Theater. My first VIP appearance allowed me to meet the members.
          I had missed the Handshakes events in 2009 and 2010.

          At the end of the year, I registered on this forum. Previously, I visited it as a guest, just to read the posts.

 

2017: My last trip. I returned to Paris, France, to attend one of C-ute's last concerts before the group disbanded.
          I was once again a VIP, and Airi Suzuki really impressed me with her friendship. She and Ayumi Ishida were the idols I met who left the best impression on me.
