I am sorry, this got to be one of the cheapest-looking MVs they have done in recent years. The song is meh.

The only comfort is that Erina got abit of spotlight in the front bit of the song, if not, I can't imagine this being an a-side for a graduation single. 

 

I wonder if they have to reshoot the entire video which explained why this music video is so bad. Because I have seen the new promo pictures where Rio took part in where the rest of the members wore the same outfit.

Seems like I am not in favour of any of the songs they did for this single.

There are a lot of changes in setting and style, which makes the song and music video more interesting than catchy.

The pacing, visuals, and some aspects of the story are better.

It's not the massive shakeup I was hoping for (the style is still in keeping with what came before) but the vibes are so fresh!

It does make me wonder about what shots we might have lost to the Rio drama. It sounds like they might have reshot after she left, if they've been working on it for so long. If such footage exists, I wonder if it will ever see the light of day.

More often than not, Morning Musume has released singles where at a random point in the song the melody changes, which shifts the entire sound of the song. Never liked when they did that. However for some reason, in this single it really works. I love everything about it.

I expected nothing from MM new single and happily surprised by this song. This is so fun! The classic MM is back! The MV looks like an MM MV (iykyk) but everyone is so pretty and there's so much Getta on screen. The dance break is so cool too. Maria, you should move as much as you like. Just ignore the haters lol. Love love love.

The song is not my cup of taste, but the MV looks fun even though it's low-budget. This is why I told you that low-budget MV still works if done right.

If it is something that people like and want to dance along with (on Tiktok), this will work. Nobody really cares if it's just a song with complex dance. Well Tsunku can add it, but as he mentioned, there are other factors that are more important here.

Well, even if I don't like the song, if utilizing social media is a priority, I believe that this will work somehow.

Also, how the hell is Kitagawa Rio still in the picture? Oh well, if she's at the position where I don't really care to look, fine by me.

 

Anyways, somebody there MUST NOT remind me of mentioning a specific music/genre/idol group here again, and I really mean it, because I'm really sick of such disgusting harassment, and I bet others are sick of seeing it here (If I want to mention the specific music/genre/idol group, I will without being asked)

I agree it's low budget compared to other mainstream idol groups, but isn't this pretty in-line with what h!p groups normally get? Especially for MM, even getting a second outfit is an upgrade.

(Also I'm high-key disappointed that it doesn't look like we'll be getting a B-side. I knew Erina wouldn't be getting a huge send off, but a cute solo song (or even a cover) on the single would still have been welcome)

Maybe Mei's line in the 2nd pre-chorus? Something about it screams Rio for me. I could be wrong because Eripon has the same line in the 1st pre-chorus, and maybe it's meant for the green girlies lol.

Okay, after a few listens, it's grown on me.

 

Positives for me:

- it has an old school MM vibe which I love. (That uki uki move? Yes!!)

- I love an upbeat cute song for MM, everybody is having fun!

- the outifts are great. Maria in that balloon skirt

- Eripon has a prominent role in the MV and a nice solo line. She also looks stunning, I love her hairstyle!

- The chorus is catchy, it's already stuck in my mind.

- The dance is easy, if they promote it right, it might catch on on Social Media.

- Mei looks soooooo good. This type of song and MV suit her so well!

- I love that Aki gets so much spotlight!

 

Negatives for me:

- the colorful backgrounds (blue, pink) wash out the girls faces.

- I find the white cloaky outfit a little weird? Eripon looks great in it, but it doesn't really suit many of the girls (the shorter girls especially imo)

- Haruka is so cute. I wish they had taken off the blazer thingy, it makes her look kinda old fashioned compared to the others.

- it seems they left Rio spot open in the dance routine. The two lines in the very end are unbalanced.

- I'm kinda not sure about the ending, the part after the matsuri part. But I can pinpoint what it is yet. Maybe it'll grow on me.

 

All in all, it's a fun and interesting song. I'm curious to see them perform it live!

The first duo line in the song seemed like a trio with Kitagawa since they bowed down successively one beat apart, and it was seeminly off one beat with someone that should be starting in front.

 

I hope the management ups the ante and not slack off with promotions just because this is Erina graduating. I mean, for the activities leading to the graduations of Mizuki and Erina, the difference between them is surprisingly astounding.

I like it, feels kinda old school-ish which is perfect for an old fan like me   I don't like the vocoder part though, but it's short thankfully. 

The PV is fun to watch, not a big fan of the costumes though

The purple colour is definitely a nod to her original colour. It's exactly the same shade. I think it's too good to be a coincidence. It'd be pretty cool if they wear her green member colour in the other MV.

well, at least we have a cool MV   I was not expecting a revolution for the covers but still. I like Limited A and Regular B though.

 

theory: for the second MV they all sit on the couch at some point while looking at Eripon's pics through the years. I don't believe in it but still.
