My wish is, they release B-Sides with this single. "Only" a double A-Side for this bigger graduation release is a let down.
Saw the group preview pic and everyone hating the outfits. But yeahhhh they're not the fashion show but they're ok. Saw worse of MM outfits ![]()
Sakura and Akt are my fav. Sakura boots rocking her outfit LOL

I genuinely love the outfits, and am excited to see them in action. This is the first time in literal years MM have worn clothes I would want to wear irl. Usually when they pick "real clothes" for the girls, they are either too matchy matchy, or but them in some weirdly business casual stuff that really ages the girls (the new album is guilty of both, tho I suppose it was called professionals for a reason lol)
I also hope there's at least one b-side.

They will never cover STARTO groups. And Jin is not an option neither. KAT-TUN members have a Bad réputation for the media. They'll not cover them.
And I don't want covers, MM should get more original songs.
ig you're talking about stuff like Koki having to go to prison for doing drugs or Junno's weed controversy... and maybe we should mention the whole marriage between Jin and Kuroki Meisa that ended with a divorce a few years back?
but I digress... if Momusu were to get an original song for the second A-side I'd hope for something arranged by Giga/TeddyLoid or Nakata Yasutaka bcuz I feel like Momusu should try working with arrangers outside of the typical HelloPro bubble ![]()
(EDIT: and also I forgot to mention Maru's cheating scandal so... there you go)

From fan reports, the first song seems to be very fun and catchy. I can't wait to get a preview.

It's got energy, it sounds like it might get a fun music video. My only complaint is I wish their weren't so many synths in the chorus. I know we're probably never gonna get rid of them completely but they're so loud and grating, I feel like it distracts from the girls voices. But the opening was really exciting and the 1st verse was lovely.
Super excited for more. I only just realised will still have nothing on the second a-side, I wonder what it will be...

^ I feel like this song is screaming for a part at the end, where they sing a super pared down, minimalist version of the chorus, with almost no instrumentation, then they go back in one more time for the *WHIRRRRRR* *UMPH UMPH* *WHHEEEEHEEEEHUUUU*
It kind of reminds me of Dokyuu no go sign. Which I loved to bits, but I know a lot of other fans didn't like so much. So I hope this appeals more.

New song : "Ki ni naru Sono Ki no Uta" (気になるその気の歌). It is confirmed it's the first A-side. "Ki ni naru Sono Ki no Uta/ Akaruku ii ko"
We're getting Ki ni naru Sono Ki no Uta MV tomorrow 8pm (JST).
I'm scared there is no b-sides for this single neither.

It kind of reminds me of Dokyuu no go sign.
Now that you said it, yes, it does sound like it. It also kinda reminded me something that Berryz would have done in their heyday.
But I am pretty lukewarm about the preview. Feel like it's the same-old, same-old.

Because it uses the same formula of the EDM with rock flair. Nothing different than Dokyuu no Go Sign. lol. I wish MM drops the EDM formula, it's been 10 years already and we seriously need something different this time.
The new A-side is revealed to be funky, very Rhythm Heaven-like with cheerful festival sounds. Tsunku is producing the music for next year's Rhythm Heaven so should we expect some sort of Hello Project cross-promotion with this?

Short preview of "Ki ni naru Sono Ki no Uta" MV.
tbh from the looks of the preview the song kinda reminds me of Junjou Evidence and I just...
hopefully when I get to hear the full song it'll be a banger for me even tho I'm still banging at UFP to have Momusu release more singles that DON'T feature arrangements by Okubo Kaoru bcuz the group's not as relevant as it could be imo (maybe it's time we had a Momusu song with Nakata Yasutaka as the arranger? Giga/TeddyLoid? Ayase of Yoasobi? I'll have my fingers crossed for either Momusu or another HelloPro group to have a song arranged by one of those k

THIS IS MORNING MUSUME??????????????????????????????????????
At least they can make a different song than their usual sentimental, edgy, I'm-a-lonely-girl ones
There are obviously parts for Rio in the dance shot. Are they trying to minimize changes in the dance by having Ikuta dance in the back row corner?????????
That floating device in the back has a color similar to Kitagawa's member color too
And it's a Getta Center!!!!! Rio's loss is Getta's gain I guess. Getta sounded like Kanon in that second chorus line I'm shocked!!
Refreshing song tbrh, it's something you'd see being played on Rhythm Heaven soon lol

THIS IS SO CHAOTIC !! I'M FAN OF IT!
I love the song. I really like it. It's catchy and with all the rhythm changes you never get bored. The chorus is soooo good. I'm already playing it on repeat.
The MV is chaotic but in a good way, like chaotic good. They really put efforts in it. I love the Eripon/Ako battle and the whole background images. There are some UFO at some point. I just wanted to point it out.
The choreo is really cool, I wanna dance to it but it proabably looks easier to watch than to dance. ![]()
I'm glad everyone is getting a part in the song. It's pretty fair. Ako is a good center as she's pretty charismatic. Rairi is not moving from the Oshi spot anytime soon after this MV. Erina is very pretty and looks cool during the first chorus. 12kies + Reina got nice lines.

Tsunku Notes for the new single (I had ChatGPT summarize it)
- Ikuta is graduating, and this will be her last single with Morning Musume.
- The group goes through continuous member changes—people graduate and new members join.
- This cycle of change has helped Morning Musume evolve and kept the producer from becoming bored with himself.
- The producer expresses gratitude and respect to all Morning Musume members, past and present, and to the fans.
- Preparations for the new single began late last year.
- Over 20 years ago, the term "idol ice age" was popular, partly due to Japan’s unique CD sales market differing from the global trend.
- Japan maintained its physical CD market by tying it with handshake events and other fan engagement activities.
- However, with the COVID-19 pandemic, physical CD sales declined, making the music market more difficult.
- Streaming (subscription) services now dominate.
- K-POP remains strong, and new J-POP idols and groups are emerging and competing globally.
- The producer wants to continue creating impactful music.
- Each time a new single is produced, the central question is: “What does Morning Musume need right now?”
- It's difficult to separate music from dance in today’s market.
- While not aiming to "go viral," success through viral content is acknowledged.
- A party tune that emphasizes a fun and energetic vibe, rather than complex dance.
- The concept was to make a catchy song that doesn't rely on dance skills.
- This approach stems from the reality that the general public is now used to seeing high-level dance from K-POP.
- Instead of competing in dance skills, the focus is on facial expressions, formation ideas, and delivering the message.
- It's okay to rest or take a break, but don’t lose the tension that keeps you going.
- Avoid falling into despair—keep the “ki” (energy, spirit) connected.
- The rhythm changes partway through the song to a festival-like tone, symbolizing the unpredictable nature of life.
- The MV theme is “assumed cosmic perspective,” portraying them singing in an infinite space.
- This is the first time choreographer "Endō" (えんどぅ - https://www.instagra...opeeeace_1027/)is working with Morning Musume.
- While he is known for his dance skill, what the producer admires most is his ability to adapt and creatively interpret ideas.
- Despite some indirect communication through management this time, he delivered choreography that emphasizes expression and storytelling.
- The choreography was created with an emphasis on expressions during certain lyrics and making the entire performance feel like a story
- The producer always tries to write songs that Morning Musume should be singing.
- Even while living in Hawaii or raising kids, ideas about what the group should express keep surfacing.
- Support from adults (parents, teachers, society) is essential, but adults are also overwhelmed with their own lives.
- There is often a disconnect between effort and recognition for both the group members and others like students or working adults.
- The song reflects this: trying hard and not being understood, moments of disappointment, yet continuing to move forward.
- Out of several candidates, this one was chosen for its direct and strong message.
- Although the music has a rock tone (which might suggest serious expressions), the choreographer YOSHIKO was instructed: “This song is about smiling.”
- The message it wants to deliver is essentially the same as “気になるその気の歌.”
