Crunchyroll has picked up Locodol for worldwide-except-Asia! Hopefully this will bring in more fans. I'm glad they got it, looking really forward to it!! I'd love to see both Sachika and Miku gain more support.

Looking at this list, my assumption that they are going to collect only 43 videos for each prefecture is wrong
From that list, it shows some prefectures have more than 1 locodol. For example, 大阪府 (Osaka) have 5 groups.
From the news link above, it says that this is a spin-off project from the Locodol anime. Not sure what they are going to do next with all this locodols. We just have to wait and see.
