Guo XingYu is so cute! Hopefully the project is officially up and running in 2018, can't believe this has been a thing since 2011.

I know it's still early days but it will be interesting to see who will be captain of this group, since the Chen sisters will presumably be the oldest members, it would be cute if they could be co-captains.

Hmm, considering the fact that the only official members so far are Abe Maria and the girls from the AKB48 Taiwan audition, I think this might just be a promotional video for the auditionees? Like a way of getting some faces out there before they decide the final lineup. Nonetheless, I kinda like it. It would be great if the international groups were able to get their own songs more often.

Update Feb. 7th:

 

2 members, Chan Ka-hei and Sin Tik-kei, are from Hong Kong, and Pan Tzu-yi is from Macao.

Then, if you can see a few names above, Fujii Mayu, Honda Yuzuka, and Oyama Mirei must be half-Taiwanese/half-Japanese. Oyama Mirei was born in Japan, while the other two were born in Taiwan.

Sin Tik-kei and Liu Jie-ming are definitely the most idol like amongst the girls based on looks alone so I wouldn't be surprised if one of those two were chosen as either one of the centers in the next few singles or if they became very popular. A lot of the girls are plain looking but that's expected of fresh idols, I'm sure they'll grow into their looks throughout their tenure and show off their talent and personality .

That being said, TPE48 was initially announced in 2012 but we're just now getting official members in 2018. I really hope that after Produce48, Aki-P holds off on creating new sister groups for a while.

There are 13 girls who are "official members", not official Team T or anything yet. Just labeled "official". - Honda Yuzuka, Sin Tik-kei, Tseng Shih-yu, Lu Yu-ching, Liu Jie-ming, Pan Tzu-yi, Chen Shih-ya, Chen Shih-yuan, Kuo Shin-yu, Lin Jie, Chiu Pin-han, Chang Yu-lin, Abe Maria.

 

 

The rest are trainees.

TPE management "Xihee Entertainment Technology Co., Ltd." is in debt of 3 million dollars towards their employees and the members. The company hasnt paid their employees for 3 months or so and the chairman of the company seems to be nowhere to be found.

Abe Maria went back to Japan since she was unable to pay her rent and removed TPE48 from her twitter bio.

Perhaps this is the end to TPE?

The thing that does not make it look so bad is 3 million dollars debt is in Taiwan dollars so it is only 98K in US dollars
Furthermore some of the breakdown in communication maybe because Taiwan is on standstill now preparing for a typhoon to hit ..
So we got to wait and see I guess ..

It’s kind of worse. That they’re only 98k in debt (some companies are in the red for years before seeing profit) and can’t pay any employees means they’ve basically got no investors backing them up, which means they were probably always going to fail. People don’t put their money into ventures they think aren’t worth their time.
