Basically, the big deal is that you can keep up with people, and have people keep up with you, with minimal effort. And because anyone can twitter, we can get news from anywhere, and have it be somewhat honest (though biased, as news always is) news. Hence why CNN ALWAYS checks people's twitters. Haha.

I use Twitter, but I won't tweet as much once I get 200 followers.

The only reason I need to get 200, and the only reason I use it, is because it is a job requirement at Best Buy to have 200 followers on Twitter.

Meh, I got a facebook for connecting with my friends. They post all what they are doing on there anyways, who needs twitter when I would just post:
"I'm bored, I'm gonna go make a sandwich"
"I'm still bored and the sandwich was not as filling as I hoped"
".................I'm bored"

Yeah I could see how following celebs and friends. But none of my friends have one and I get far too many e-mails that spam my inbox with facebook.
