Is it something about HM@'s low TV ratings or something?
nope, unfortunately not. after "Haromoni@" it says 終 which means.... THE END! IT'S THE LAST EP! that however isn't until the 28th of september (ep 77). and we don't know what will be following it. heard about it yesterday, got confirmation today through newspapers. XD XD XD

there are a couple of scans from some other newspapers and more talk about it on this blog: http://blogs.yahoo.c...i/24482213.html
earlier blog entry about it: http://blogs.yahoo.c...chive/2008/8/19

i'm just hoping something good will come after this... the program before also ends, so there will be an hour long gap to be filled, but there's no word on what that will be or how many shows.

....and this should probably be a new topic. stupid me.

the other show before haromoni@ will be put down too.....so the show that will be replaced will be half an hour long... :good:

Hhm it was going to happen anyway the show was boring not because of the girls but how they managed the show. Maybe now they can focus on a new show that will actually entertain people and also please put more budget into the show this time!

I don't think Haromoni@ could have been saved at this point.  The buzz was so bad that they may have decided to make a clean break and start over completely.  Or...

Hopefully there will be a program again following this one.  I feel like they've been trying to get MM to be a bit more mainstream again and they probably need to start anew with their TV show to do that.  Also, there was something on the Haromoni@ website recently about MM granting people's wishes, and Reina was asking folks for ideas on her radio show a few weeks ago if I'm not mistaken?  Those things probably wouldn't have been said if it was known the program was to end without a replacement.

Assuming that there is an HP morning show following this, here are some ideas of what I'd like to see:

- Maintain a central focus on MM, but dedicate a segment to another group/soloist in HP each week.
- Ditch the animal ears plzkthx.  Also hold off on wearing the yochien outfits.
- Lots of large group games.
- Field trips to interesting places (farms, amusement parks, bakeries, firefighter training facilities...) where one or two of the girls are spotlighted as they participate in an activity.
Hey, Senpai! - Fun idol stats, news, and more! Currently on hiatus due to Real Life, but check out the archives!

I enjoyed watching the show just because I like the girls and it was too short too be offensive.  Not exactly glowing praise, but I did find moments entertaining and I'll still miss it.  Pretty much had become part of my weekly routine.  I know people will use this as another "THE END IS NEAR" argument, but if no one watched the show anyway I don't see how it really matters if it's off the air.  Will be interesting to see if anything replaces, or if MM will truly have no television presence anymore.

One thing is for sure, somewhere along the line they passed the point that could even really be considered an effort. The most entertaining moments lately are when the girls do something cute and that doesn't cost anything at all.  It's one thing to have a low budget, but something else entirely when it seems that the people behind the show aren't really trying.  I don't really buy into the idea that people behind the show are idiotic/sinister/plotting against the girls so I can only assume that they either knew the show was doomed or there was no profit to be made in the show so the girls are just way too busy focusing on other things that make money to spend time making the show.  How many episodes in a row now have we seen the last 10 minutes(of a 19 minute show) dedicated to girls reading food products off of cards?

When I think about it, if ANYTHING comes out of this it will be better for Morning Musume in the long run. I HOPE there's another show coming, but even if there's not, these girls deserve better than what this show had become.

but i don't think Reina will need ideas unless the new show is just like Haromoni@ and MouTube
i hope they fire everyone that produced Haromoni@ - including the old weird looking baby
and make a brand new show that's longer and has better segments

i really want them to bring the theater back like in Hello!Morning - loved that part

Any word on whether there'll be a replacement tv program?
When I listen to music, vocal standard & ability is top priority, like Asuka, Yaguchi, Nakazawa, Gomaki, Kaorin, Ai, Reina, Airi, Linlin, Sakichy, & Chisato. Sorry if this offends you, but no William Hung or Kirari for me.

^ nope.

let's not forget that even if it does end and nothing follows, the run that MM has done with H!M and HM@ is really quite astounding.
and if it does continue, hopefully they've come up with some way to renew the whole concept and make it a fresh and good show.

and i wouldn't say the show was boring. not lately with moutube (gakikame theater XD). haven't watched all of the earlier shows, because i agree, they were not very entertaining, but lately i've enjoyed them to such an amount that they felt really short.

shouldn't worry too much about that. heard something about him quitting before this came up. don't remember where that was, though. if anyone knows, please enlighten me.

Ah man. Hopefully there is a replacement show. Even though it's not all that entertaining, there are always some parts in every episode that make it worth watching, for me atleast.

I seriously hope theres a MM replacement.

To be perfectly honest...the only thing I really did pay attention to was the GakiKame theatre. It's actually somewhat entertaining. I do watch a few of the other segments, but I definitely skip over the memory segment every week... <3

I hope that they will have a replacement program that's better. No, I'm not going to ask for another Hello! Morning (although that'd be really nice...). I just want something that makes more sense/is more interesting than a talking baby puppet and animal ears. The image of Hello! Morning was of cute, young girls who like to mess around... MM's been pushing the mature image lately (in my opinion anyway...somewhat) so another Hello! Morning MAY not work out. But who knows? :/

...Although I have to say, I'm gonna miss the GakiKame art segment. XD I really liked those... (Unfortunately that was usually the only thing I liked...XD)

It must have been bloody depressing for the girls to go and film Haromoni on that stage set with the memories of the grander scale of their previous show. So all the better that it's been cancelled. I hope they replace it with something better.

well i have to say that i never enjoyed HM@ so i stopped almost when they runned out of moutube people's videos... the animal kingdom thing was interesting but nobody cares, i mean the show was the same with or without that stuff. I remember the first shows, i liked the idea of morning musume walking on the streets and visiting places but then they ruined the whole concept with moutube which was great but too different.

I don't know how they worked this but i hope they didn't canceled the show because low ratings... i think is a bad choice for them to work according to rankings.

i hope the new concept for the new show includes some karaoke... maybe not fancy like utadoki but girls singing songs is always welcome XD

eversince H!M ended, it's a bit disappointing and having a gulit the rest of us... well, same as HM@ T_T

IMO, maybe they'll have a plan B for this one... because they're not giving up the show so easily * and at least they've aired for more than a year*, and let's just hope that they'll overcome this one XD and we'll gonna miss their wackiness <3

Man, this isn't good at all  ^_^ It let me be secure in the fact that while everyone else was out partying or whatever high school kids do for fun that I don't partake in  XD I could be at home watching Haromoni@ on Keyhole TV  ^_^ .  Anyway, I hope they pick it up with something else quickly I don't want too much downtime.  As a °CWota Here's to hoping they make Berikyuu a full length show in HM@'s place!!!

I can't believe it. This is one my very first Japanese show I watch. I never watch Haromoni until Jun Jun and Lin Lin came in the picture. There were some funny parts and some wasn't funny parts. I was getting very tried to see moutube. I thought it was a great idea to have International fans send their videos and Morning Musume to vote their favors. It shows that they have fans outside of Asia. I didn't like the animals ears they wore.
