So I was just sitting down with a nice cup of tea, happily watching C-ute new promotional video, and about halfway through I had to pause it--those shades on the right looked awfully familiar.



I thought they reminded me of one of Nacchi's PVs and decided to look it up--didn't actually think they'd be the same shades, but I thought it'd be awfully funny if they were. And as it turned out:



Definitely the same background. And that triggered another thought, which I initially dismissed as "I would've noticed"...but I kept thinking about it, so I went to check my CD collection anyway. Sure enough:




So anyone else seen repeating backgrounds, sets, etc. in H!P videos or photos? Which do you like/not like? (I guess in general, what are your favorite sets?)

Or better yet, any more sightings of the white shades with curvacular shapes set up in front of them?

well you have it storage you might as well use them

atleast they aren't like before. those vids were cheaper and had less production value than those of now. but as for H!P being cheap, its nothing new. Tsunku pockets the money for hair products

this is one reason that im highly dissapointed with UFA PVs most of the time. JUST WHY CANT THEY SPEND A BIT MORE MONEY ONTO THE PV, ATTRACT MORE FANS AND THEN THEY WOULD EARN MORE MONEY IN THE LONG RUN!!!!

UFA's budget control ALWAYS piss me off.

Good catch! But speaking about the same PV - that tables with mirrors are the same like in Munasawagi Scarlet PV

Nessy those are not shades. If i'm right those are metal shutters like you usually find in large warehouses which are used as doors. Studios use them too.

Nessy's find makes C-ute's latest PV a big dissapointment. I always try to see the bright side of things but this is just too much. UFA/H!P shouldn't do this to the group that just received the "Best New Comer" award

I think H!P is taking their own advice with the -6% initiative. It takes resources and energy to make new sets, so why not reuse them? It's part of the whole reduce-reuse-recycle thing. I'm all for it!

I totally agree with you sanrio. It confuses me as to why they don't do that, because it makes sense.

Here's a really lame one but it gets me every time.
I guess when H!P has run out of sets, or just over-used them, they stick to GREEN SCREENS.

C-ute's Namida no Iro looks like the pre-teen version of Kanashimi Twilight, with the random white boxes, simple background, and the slow motion dance scenes.

I'm pretty angry to H!P.
WHY they are that cheap? Well, I do understand but still.
For example, compared to Johnny's Entertainment, they have really awesome concerts and the music videos aren't only dancing like H!P videos.
I really feel bad for H!P.

well now we know where all the supplies and sets go...

it makes sense to me that they reuse things..people do that in theatre all the time, but it took someone who was really paying attention to notice. besides, it's just a background...now when they start wearing the same costumes again..then we can worry...
