Episode 2 was rebroadcasted last May 22, 2007 since Episode 7 would remind people of a hostage situation in Aichi prefecture. There is no announcement yet on when Episode 7 will be aired.

Just finished watching the first four episodes and man, this is a great series! It's really moving and hilarious at the same time. The characters have great chemistry and Niko is really kawaii..
The episode where that one guy robbed a post office to buy groceries for his dead wife was really sad. -------------------- |

I take it they've skipped episode 7 for the time being and gone straight to episode 8?

Probably not showing Ep 7 next week either as it's a multi-episode arc starting with Ep 8. Niko kind of looks like Koharu back when she first joined.
Edit: Trivia tidbit: Two of the actors playing the women in Pucchini were also in an indie film Kamome Shokudo together set in Finland. Kobayashi Satomi (the cell phone one Robo likes) speaks Finnish in the movie. The third Pucchini member (the bubble pack popping younger one) is Tomosaka Rie who was active as a singer in the late '90's/early 2000's. Edit again: Just realized even though it should have been obvious earlier, Katagiri Hairi the actress playing Niko's mom was also in Kamome Shokudo. Just got reminded about the movie since it's playing in a local film festival. Niko's mom is tall.

Robo's actor also played L in Death Note/upcoming L movie? More respect for him now that it's been proven he's that versatile. Who's that Korean Kang-sama guy he was pretending to be in the episode where his mom visits? Doesn't Kamei do an impression as well?
Edit: It's Yon-sama or something. Bae Yong Joon? Looking forward to the next episode although some concern as the tracker hosting the subbed episodes seems to be down right now. Read somewhere that the manga this drama is based on was never finished. If that's true I wonder how the series will resolve itself. Edit: Episode 9 subbed available to direct download. Link on TV-Nihon site. |

Just finished watching the last episode of Sexy Voice and Robo and here's my thoughts on the series as a whole. Overall, I really loved the series. It was funny, dramatic, sad, all in one. The characters were great and unique, and each episode had a unique case. The only thing that vexed me was the fact that the series was only 9 episodes long. I just felt that this series could've gone on a lot longer with more cases to solve. 9 Just seems to little and too incomplete. They were barely able to fully portray each characters unique personalities before the show ended. =\ For me, the most moving episode was the second one. I actually cried on that episode.
And now my thoughts on the last episode.
The last episode ended pretty well I guess. It was a happy ending, which I really liked. -------------------- |

Where did you get this information that the series is only 9 episodes long? The official site had episode 10 as airing June 12th.

Yes! It's not the end!
TVnihon.com said "The shocking conclusion" and from the way the preview was done, it just seemed like the series was over. -------------------- |

Episode 10 now available on TV-Nihon site direct download as their tracker is down.
Robo starts printing his own money. People are watching Niko. Hope they find a way to show the missing episode sometime soon and don't keep it until the DVD release. |

It was a really good episode. There wasn't a mystery or a case like the other episodes, but it was still a good one nonetheless.
The next episode is really the last one.. I feel kind of sad that the series is coming to an end. Everything I said about episode 9 will apply here, seeing as how I thought that was the last episode. I look forward to the last episode, and the ending to a great series! -------------------- |

Final episode now available to direct download on tv nihon site. Ghostly returns and bittersweet farewells. Not a great ending but pretty good considering the manga which this is based on never really ended. The sneak peek at 'future' Niko and Robo is classic.

Ah man.. Sexy Voice and Robo ended.
I was really sad to see that Niko and Robo split up in the end. And when Mikkabouzu came back, it was a very unexpected turn of events. But I still don't understand why Niko couldn't see Rumi or Mikkabouzu towards the end. Sad but great episode, and a great ending to a great series. Sexy Voice and Robo forever MAX!!
Is the manga as good as the drama? -------------------- |

A sad ending to a fantastic series, I was nearly in tears at the end. I hope that Suzuka Ohga moves on to bigger and greater things in the future as she's such a talented actress. Goodbye Niko and Robo - it's been a blast watching you.

Long lost Episode 7 RAW (NOT SUBTITLED) has been uploaded at d-addicts so I guess the DVDs have been released also. Wonder if T-N is going to complete the set or if another group is going to sub the series from the DVD raws.
Didn't realize Mikkabouzu was in the Jet Li movie Fearless and Ping Pong among other films/dramas. What a versatile actor in a surprisingly talented cast. Edit: Having watched it even without subtitles/full grasp of specifics I can see why it was pulled due to the hostage situation at the time. There were parts where it was silly and almost made like it was making light of a hostage situation (how does a whole restaurant get held captive by a knife? among other things). Edit again: Nakamura Shido (Mikkabouzu) is good enough I might watch Ushi ni Negai wo: Love & Farm also (Toda Erika's the real reason though...no lie). However even though Ohgo Suzuka's in Memoirs of a Geisha I'll probably still not rush to watch it. |
