To answer your question she hasn't revealed anything that indicates that she's recording or anything, as far as I know. I'm always the last one to know, anyway. Right now, I guess she's just doing lives.

I just checked Google maps and found out that Kawasaki, Kanagawa-ken is closer to Tokyo than I first thought. It's actually between Tokyo and Yokohoma, not that far from Narita airport, slightty northwest. I'm sure it won't be hard to find. Here's a map that shows Yokohoma to the south, Tokyo to the northeast:

I've been learning Japanese for only about 6 months now but I'm so obsessed with it that I work on it everyday and I watch/listen to Japanese music/videos/TV almost exclusively (occasionally stopping to watch the Cubs and root for Fukudome! ). So I'm trying out some of my Japanese by sending simple messages to Takayo's blog. If anything, I want her to know that she has a fan in the heartland of the USA that supports her in her endeavors. She took a roadtrip to Furano (a place in Japan that I would love to live at) and had a tasty meal and did some sightseeing. My message to her was as follows:

フラノワイン

富良野のワイン飲みましょお！
いいそうだ、笑。
今ミチガンの桜桃も熟しており。 (<--I meant 'aru' not 'ari')
Blue Starは夏の気持ちいただきます、ありがとう

What I tried to say was:

FURANO WINE

Drink some Furano wine!
I hear it's pretty good (laughs).
Michigan cherries are now ripe too. (note: this was in reference to her mentioning picking cherries)
Blue Star gives me feelings of summer, thank you.

What comes out in the Google translator is:

With飲みましょFurano wine!
That's good, actually.
MICHI is now ripe cherry fruit and cancer.

I wonder if she's ever heard of Michigan..............which is just 10 miles north of me here in Indiana. From what I've read about Hokkaido, I think the climate and weather is similar to the southwest Michigan fruit/wine area............I used 'itadakimasu' as an honorific for 'give'..............I don't know if that's appropriate or not, I think she'd get the idea........I like spelling Michigan and Chicago in Katakana because a Japanese person should be able to pronounce them perfectly from the spelling......
