Armwrestling is not only about brute force, naturally strength matters as well, but you must have the correct technique. I've seen a lot of "big" people lose to much smaller people because they had no idea what they were doing. Grip, wrist, forearm, triceps, biceps, rotator cuff, etc. position, leverage, pull, all of this combined together

and that's why I usually don't try and over-analyze an idol arm wrestling match.  You can also add factors like intimidation if a member is against a senpai and "giggle factor" since they sometimes can't stop laughing or screaming.

I'm not completely sure what happened but it looks like Rena beat Maria (the weakest in team k lol) to advance.  There isn't a pic to confirm it but I guess that means Fujita also beat Shihorin before Rena (which I also thought wasn't possible).  Maybe Fujita is just on steroids

Maybe the height of the table has something to do with it.

Height looks fine, and Rena appears to be taller than Naana too in that position (from looking at screen behind). But in that picture, who has the better position is Naana, as her arm is closer to her body, whereas Rena's is stretched out a bit which puts more pressure on it and makes it much harder for her to resist. What Rena could do here, is to move her elbow forwards a little, adjust her grip by moving up her fingers (as her wrist is bent down as well, which is another bad thing), and "walk" up Naana's grip, then apply leverage by pulling on Naana's arm while also slowly leaning back and down, utilizing bodyweight. If her grip, wrist, and arm can remain in position, and Naana is not doing anything to counteract this, then she should improve position, and could even win.

I still want to see more arm wrestling in 48G.

I thought about this before for like 5 seconds, but, differing from arm wrestling, Janken is fair for everyone, whereas AW is not.

Just been watching her first show and d'aw she's really nervous ><

There's a few moments in group songs when she looks really lost and is sometimes suddenly getting into position(it's really minor, but because she's got a lot of camera time it's noticeable). She mentions being really nervous in the MC. She has moments where she warms up and her smile gets all adorable and big :3

I think she'll do really well in Team K :3 She seems to have settled into the group quite well, getting along with Hillary for example.

well, actually in JKT she isn't known as a 'powerful' member. In fact, her dance before she double-teamed with AKB are not really good. But after she joined team K, her dance becomes more powerful, which made me surprised :3
