Looking at the pictures Noriega posted in the Meru thread and with the asadesu video, it looks like she'll be one of the focus members of the second generation.

I rather enjoy her hobby of going to bed early and I hope we'll get to see her clarinet skills in the future. Pretty excited about this girl.

I hate to "abandon" Haruppi, but I am becoming so entranced with Mio. I'll be checking in on her Google+ page quite often.

It is nice to see a girl not being pushed by management but by the members themselves including Sashi and all of Team H, everybody is talking about this young girl whether it be AKB, NMB or SKE members she is being noticed by everybody even the Koreans translated Sashi's comments about Mio.

The most likeable thing about her is that there is no 'in your face' I am going to be better than Sashi or I am going to be the next centre of the Universe all you see is a very quiet girl with a beautiful smile. She will fit into Team H as the likes of Aoi and Haruppi are very quiet and it is noticeable that all of Team H have taken a two shot with her even Anna. She appears to have been accepted by the girls as the 16th member of Team H although unofficially.

She seems to be really popular. Always getting 500 comments on G+, f.ex. (but the HKT48 fans seem to be more active anyway). Also Meru seem to get the 500 comments easily, but has less followers than Mio. I wonder if this gives a hint who of HKT48's 2nd generation might rank on next AKB48 election — I definitely wouldn't mind.

Wasn't so sure at first, but the more time that passes, the more I expect Mio to make a splash and show up in the elections. Handshake tickets, popularity on g+ (though as dev-null pointed out, it seems a lot of HKT girls get to 500 comments pretty easily), it just seems like she's going to get a quick burst this year with her skyrocketing popularity. Very excited about it!

I don't think she is über cute, particularly funny or very talented. She has some strange, raher muffled reactions to things that is quite entertaining though.

She became popular because she is the exact opposite of Meru, it is very obvious from their attitude that Team H and Sashi do not like Meru. She is just too pushy in herself and the AkiP and Management promotion of her
even though she is just a trainee is making members and a lot of fans annoyed.

However, it is not just Mio that is becoming more promoted by the members of Team H so are Imada Mina and Marika Tani.

Mio isn't out pushed by Meru, both of them are getting a huge amount of promotion and nice positions. Meru outperforms Mio at the moment though and will likely continue to do so for a long time to come.

In my opinion, Tomonaga's brand of cute is a cut above quite a few of the 48 girls. It's very natural, and she's also pretty reserved when she's on-screen. Her reactions aren't exaggerated, and her voice is pretty soft. She stumbles with her words, but not as bad as Kodama, and you can tell that she's also a hard-worker.

 

I'm not surprised at how popular she quickly became.

Mio was the center for "Tenshi no Shippo" at the KKS concert today, and then proceeded to (I assume) wow the audience with her (I assume) amazing clarinet skills.
