ANIME EXPO: MORNING MUSUME/ADVENTURES IN L.A. Part 2!

And so welcome to Part 2 of my AX adventures. Note: I had half of this written up a couple of days ago, but then the browser closed on me...I restore the previously saved tabs and all I got back from the entry tab was my blog page. I had to write this all over again! DAMMIT!

So same as the first:
The layout of this blog entry is
1) Blog first, pictures or so in between that whatever I feel like should be there.
2) Videos I took for each day will be provided at the bottom of their appropriate day. I.E Day 0 will have a video at the end of their part of the blog, and so on.
3) At the very end, I'll add a comment of how the blog went and then I'll provide the picture links for the days I blogged about. Courtesy of my account at PHOTOBUCKET. Which I used for my Japan 2008 adventures.

Now without further ado, let's wake up!!!!!!

ANIME EXPO: DAY 2

The day started early once again as I woke up as the sun rose. My roommate, HPMusume, woke up just moments after I did. Along the way of getting ready, I get a text from Aewen saying that she had breakfast with Morning Musume! I immediately freaked out and told this to HPMusume. He was still getting ready, so I told him I'll be back and ran out the door. Gosh the elevator is sooo slooww...=.= but that's a curse to be on the 31st floor. I arrive at the breakfast area and see to myself no one was there!! Apparently through text talk, the breakfast was already over and it was an event that we needed a ticket for. An event that after looking up, tickets were available at the AX Merchandise booth that we could have bought on the first day...*INFORMATION FAIL* Damn~!! I could have had breakfast with them! or at least waited in line to gaze beautifully at them.

Since having that ruin a part of my morning, there was no way I was going to be sad the whole day! So HPMusume came down and we left to go to Macy's Plaza, for either some breakfast or something. We bought smoothies at Robeks Juice in their food court and we proceeded into this Hallmark store. In there HPMusume brought a little pink outfit for Sayumi, I think it was like sleeping wear or just shorts and a shirt. After that, we made our way back to the hotel and caught the shuttle to AX.



I called Eojjeorago to see where he was, and he tells me he's been waiting in the concert line since early morning! WOW With that news, HPMusume and I went to the Exhibition Hall to the JapanFiles booth to score some glowsticks. Technically they weren't even called GLOWSTICKS anymore because they ran out of those. All they had left were the glow-bracelets and necklaces. Gah..I bought $10 worth just to be in the drawing for the Platinum 9 card set, so I'd figure why not? We returned to Eojjeorago and also met a couple of other H!O like Suaracheerios. If you were in the ticket line, I was the one who randomly started to go around asking for YELLOW glowsticks to trade for my GREEN ones.



While walking around, my eye caught on to 55Cyanides and his crew, Tony and...I never found out the girl's name. >_< But yeah, I go up to them, talk for a while about seats, the night before, what's up...the usual. Moving back to my place in line, we waited. Yeah I cut that off short, but what did you expect? We did WAIT. haha. But wait no more because at around 12:30 PM, the line started moving. yay!! Everyone went through the doors and got their ticket check. Everyone could also see anyone "running" to their rows to get the best seat. This was a laugh as the shouts from the AX staff members shouted "NO RUNNING" over and over again.

Nothing big pretty much happened while waiting for the concert to start in just like over an hour or so at 2:20PM~, other than confusion with tickets like me being asked to show my ticket to an AX staff member...jeez being called out like that, FAIL AX STAFF. But I don't blame them (that much), I saw 2 people in the front row who was booted because they didn't have ROW 1 tickets. YIPES! Pretty much after that little drama was over, AX played some AXBackstage footage which had 3,2,1 Breakin' Out! song. At that moment, the crowd kind of created the OH YEAH OH YEAH cheer with the glowsticks which caught on later in the concert. Haha, and sure enough when the video stopped, everyone rose up off their seats quickly, and the music started and the cheers came...MORNING MUSUME CONCERT YEAHH~~~!!!!

Haha, I'm not the best to remember or speak about the songs so I did my best and I got the set list from the AX thread on H!O and from ShikyoxYaiba's blog: Inside the Turtle's Shell... THANKS!

1) Mikan - Whoa, apparently this was the starter? I thought 3, 2, 1 Breakin' Out was...but okay. I remember the Mikan song when they played it so pretty much this was the song everyone knew the cheers to. AICHAN! REINA! OY! OY! OY OY OY! One of the best upbeat songs I know, so listen to it now when YOU GET A CHANCE!!!

2) 3, 2, 1 Breakin' Out! - Now this song was the best (intro but yea things changed when I looked up the setlist) Surely enough, we did the OH YEAH OH YEAH chant. That was BEAST! haha. Seeing MM shake their cute little "hips" in the end was awesome! I heard that Aichan's skirt in her costume had some what unbuttoned? I'm not sure, but that would have been an awesome site!

3) 1st MC - OKAY? okay?! OKAY! OKAAAY!! Literally, I remember MM saying okay okay okay over and over again in this one and it was just utter cuteness! Awesome win. They introduced themselves and made us cheer more and more.

4) Shōganai Yume Oibito - ahh, what can I say? This is their latest single at the concert! I could not help but cheer as loud as I could, yet trying to save my strength for the rest of the concert. Great song, better performance. yay! ^^V

5) How Do You Like Japan? ~Nihon wa Donna Kanji Dekka?~ - wow, can't say I knew this song very much but I have heard it before. It's a great song to jump and yell out WHOO! HOW DO YOU LIKE JAPAN?!?!?!!

6) Resonant Blue - YES! When I heard this come up, I knew that Aichan would do her lovely (and sexy) body shake. I definitely kept an eye out for that. >=D And I love her "Uweehe Uweeeoo"...powns awsome moves!

7) 2nd MC - I forgot what they did here, but hell it was sure to be awesome. Moving onto the Medley....

> I WISH - WAHH! Aika~! Her start just made me love Aika even more! >___< A classic song and touched my heart. YES!

> Happy Summer Wedding - Pala Pala anyone? Another catchy song to do and I think everyone saw Risa's kick?

-costume change mid medley- (this was awesome, they ripped off their costumes and changed right there on stage, but I'm already used to that. )

> Koi no Dance Site - OOH HA OOH HA! ERI'S SEXY BEAAAM!!!! Ganbare!

> Souda! We're ALIVE - GO GO GO GO! SHI-AWASE....yes, that song made me jump, made me feel ALIVE!!! (like the bad puns so far? )

>The Peace - Ooh Ooh! Koharu here was wow. She got Rika's parts and she did them well. I love that part because everyone is just goes into a frilly-nilly-girly parts around her. Kawaii~~ haha!

> Renai Revolution 21 - YES! RR21! well...not much here. Of course the tension was high and we kept jumping and dancing to the song correctly. Main point here was Reina's HOI. THAT was a cutie.

9) 3rd MC - yes....that is all. Cute talk and then an intro for LOVE MACHINE!

10) LOVE MACHINE! - wahhh! Need I say more? This is the ORIGINAL AWESOME! WOW WOW WOW WOW! Everyone whose a fan has got to know the cheers for this. Epic win all around. YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH!

11) Sono Bamen de Bibichaikenaijan! - HO-LY CRAP! I don't know how many times I've said this, but this is the best! I love this B-side from Resonant Blue, especially with JunLin cheers for them! and the name is so long that it's catchy to see if we can say it. ahhh, great setlist so far!

12) 4th MC - All on global warming. Aichan does this impressive long sentence ALL in english! Even though AX does the courtesy of giving us subtitles on the screens, I paid no attention because I just focused all on her. With this speech, the next song seemed fitting.

13) Ame no Furanai Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou - Longest name ever. I call it Ame fish market from the forums. This song was nice, the crowd however wasn't. I felt like they were out of sync or waving their glowsticks a little toooooo slow. -.- And didn't we have to wave them forward and not side to side? oy....whatever. JunLin's chinese lines are still awesome here, everytime I hear em.

14) MC of myspace contest with Yossi and Tsunku - Ah we are drawing near the end. The music stopped and the DRAGONLADY came out! After talking a bit, Yossie came out! We were like yeahh~!!! Yossie!! Then Tsunku!!! wahoo! They all announced the OPV Myspace winners. I won't post them here because then I'd have to look for them....but you know who the winners are and they're pretty damn good. Especially the GRAND PRIZE winner. all sketches-like video. Risa and Sayu had a little "Who's the cutest" moment and Yossie won when she came out and said, "NO NO NO I am the cutest" That won pretty much because we all started to cheer. HAHAHA, and she acts like Yossie through and through as she leaves pulling out the PEACE PEACE dance move! YES!!

15) 3, 2, 1 Breakin' Out (encore) - And such hearing the song 3 more times because of the OPVs shown, the girls decided to sing the song ONE MORE TIME! YES!! Seems like there was more energy in this one and that I had to use all of my strength to keep dancing and moving. For MM's sake, I SHALL DANCE!!!

Thus, the end of the concert came. After the girls left and we all shouted their names and goodbyes, the crowd starts shouting "AN-KO-RU! AN-KO-RU!" (encore) and that was pretty catchy. For some people around the SECTION D, I was the one shouting OY! in between the "AN-KO-RU"s. lol But sure enough the girls weren't going to come out again and the AX staff made us leave.

ANIME EXPO: DAY 2 Cont.

Everyone was forced to leave the concert hall. DAMN. On the way out, I met up with and followed Aewen and Limit around with their fellow JPH!Pers, because apparently I lost my group while leaving. 0.0 So after a while of standing around talking about the concert, the JPH!P members split up to meet up later for the Hello!Party that was happening later tonight. The 3 of us got hungry and didn't really want to walk far after that concert, so we settled for the HIGHLY EXPENSIVE CONVENTION FOOD they had. Seriously, $9.50 for a cheeseburger w/fries...when I checked the burger, it looked like so much grease was on it that the cheese literally looked plastic....wow! I still managed to scarf it down while they had nachos (for $3.50). Aww well. With just finishing up eating, Aewen gets a call from a JPH!P members. Apparently they had a dinner at night and then will go to the party later. So I said farewell to the two, and proceeded to the shuttle back to the hotel.



I took a quick change at the hotel, and HPMusume arrives no sooner than I had finish. We changed and left for the party! The ballroom at the Sheraton was pretty deep, I think we went down maybe 3 flights? The sign-in was great, they had name tags of all the members for Morning Musume. I of course picked Aichan....A-A-A-AICHAAAAN!!!! The place was pretty empty for a while, time passed and more people came until the party started. THANKS SO MUCH TO HELLO!RANKING for doing it. I wished I'd known about it sooner, to help out whatever I can.

The festivities started with the intro of the staff and helpers and etc to who helped H!R make it possible. Sekai no Melody performed a couple songs in the beginning: Medley of Go Girl! Koi no Victory!, Renai Revolution 21, The Peace. They gave an intro of themselves and then continued to do a joint song with HAPPY PROJECT in singing Ame no Furaini Hoshi de wa Aisenai Darou. I think after that we took a "15-minute intermission". LOL It was more like an hour. >__< Everyone had their time in meeting new people or just hanging out. They aired some H!M games on the screen and that kept us entertained for a while. The party continued and the games began.



The games consisted of all 9 member teams. The participants were completely voluntary and you could only go up when the member you have as your nametag (when you picked at the door) is chosen. I forgot the order of the teams for each game but that doesn't matter because I'm gonna tell you who won anyway. LOL So we had games like the 1-sec intro game. That's where they play the beginning of a song for 1 second and participants have to guess what song that is. Next game is TRIVIA game. That's self-explanatory, questions were hard and easy depending on the topic. >=D The trivia ended short because of the time and so we moved onto the KARAOKE game. It's the classic game in H!M where we played a medley of songs and each player can sing up to the 1-3 lines. The last player however with the last line gets the BATSU GAME aka covered in Silly String! Muhahaha! We also had games with the blindfolds and u drop something from above to make the player guess, and the telephone-drawing game! Classic. Lots of games, lots of fun. ^o^ In the end the NIIGAKI RISA team won by one game!! Congratulations!

People with the Risa nametag were able to get prizes from Japanfiles! or Something like that. haha. After that was all over, Wotas from Mexico I presume came up and presented 3 songs to do the Wotagei. Everyone was free to do it. The first song to C-ute's Tokaikko Junjou. It was pretty much of the wotas themselves. The 2nd song of Berryz Koubou's Koi no Jubaku. More people got into this but not as much as the next one! What I believe is the original Wota gei! Fujimoto Miki's Romantic Ukare Mode. This was soo much fun to watch! Alot of people got into this and the part when they spread out and come back in sliding, THAT WAS AMAZING! WELL DONE GUYS!!!

After the Wotagei dances, it was free Karaoke and maybe some dancing, but I left at around 12. At the party I met and or saw Aewen, Limit, Eojjeorago, HPMusume, live4zone, 田中BOMB, DHG, Mr. Phenomenal, rayned_kei, StevenLin, SacredCultivator, and maybe more. haha. Truly everyone had their own fun and I left with Karaoke music behind my back. Plus I wanted to sing "KISS! KISS! KISS!" by Buono!...but the wait would have been at least 30 mintues, and half the party had already left. >___< Walked back to the hotel alone, go room, and slept for the next day to come...

Okay, Wow! Day 2 was a lot. So much that I couldn't possibly put in Day 3 OR 4 in there. I hope you all either read it, but if you skimmed it, I have no problem with that either. haha. Several things prevented me from releasing this sooner. Seems like the cold or sickness every other AX goer got, I got late. So I had a day cold, resting and such for a quick recovery. It was that and sheer laziness. Yes I am lazy, but who isn't. Yet I worked hard and typed this up for you all to read...if you did read it. hahaha! I'm sorry if I bored anyone but I hope you have a good read, please do stop by again for the other days I'll put up! THANK YOU!
