End of an Era...sadly....this new MM isn't the same anymore so no MM for me in the Future. ^-^staying instead to °C-ute and going further to Momoclo, Super Girls and Perfume!

^ It is funny to see the little sisters (°C-ute and Berryz) now the big sisters of H!P. The 9th, 10th and upcoming 11th gen of MM are gonna have to step up. you have Momoclo, AKB and so many others in top ranks in the Idol Battle.

MM is never the same. It isn't set up to be. That doesn't mean they can't be good. Do they have to step it up? Yes. Give everyone some hardcore vocal training, and promote, promote, promote!
Don't hate the players, hate the game. MM was created to change, and change it does. Personally, I love this picture of Yuko passing the torch to Aichan, but I understand why others don't.

Judge them on what every artist should be judged on... the quality of their music and performances. If it no longer floats your boat, find something that does. Simple as that, really.
As Erin says, MM has always changed. Not every version will appeal, even if the songwriter stays the same.
And judging a group by how popular it is rather than how much you personally like it... never really understood that, personally.

And love this photo of Yuko and Aichan. Deep down you know Yuko is going "Kawaaaaaiiii!" when she looks at Lovely. ;)

^A slight correction there. This are Japanese idols, not American idols ;-) J-idols are judged on their personality, charisma, then their music and performance. Thats why Momusu have lasted so long.
Now that you mentioned The Kids. Gakisan's graduation does indeed mark a new era of sorts.
For the first time in H!P history, the leader of H!P which normally falls on the shoulders of the most senior member, is not from Morning Musume, but Captain from Berryz...

Zam, Erin, Eeyore couldn't have said it better. A single member or two shouldn't be the only reason you liked them. Most of our favorites would have never been in the group if it wasn't for graduations and auditions.

@Zam, by performance I do actually mean their charisma and personality... to me this IS their performance. One can be accurate and precise, but with no personality or charisma the performance can seem somehow flat.
And I don't just mean their performance during concert - but in everything we see of them.

If by very much alive and kicking and stronger than ever you mean an ever dwindling popularity then yes your are correct. Stronger than ever ? O come with all due respect thats just plain silly i am pretty certain they are not selling over a million again or for that matter even 100000. Yes by all means like the currant lineup but keep it realistic. Seems that you just wanted to troll me for some reason and became so desperate to do so that you picked the wrong subject.
So lets end this on something we can agree on... O yes Sayu is leader that part is true.
