^ yeah, but how do we know if masculine is a role? to me, she doesn't seem to be all about frilly and girly, instead she's more into sports and comfortable shoes.

just because a girl is more into sports and comfortable shoes doesn't necessarily mean that she is masculine. I was a tomboy and played sports (actually I still do now); but yet I was also on the dance team and on the Homecoming Court and participated in a few pageants.
Besides, she was first billed as a beautiful genius but after Mr. Moonlight, her fate was kinda sealed. But just because she seemed tomboy-ish doesn't meant that she wasn't feminine or didn't want to be feminine.

^ i guess i read her body language differently than you do. she reminds me of a neighbor i had growing up. this girl had charisma oozing out of her pores, played sports, and had ALL the girls vying for her attention. the very second i saw yossy, i had that same feeling. yossy is/was just like this girl i knew. that's why i feel like yossy seems more comfortable playing sports than wearing dresses. not to say she doesn't like wearing them, she may very well love wearing dresses and getting dolled up.
this reminds me of that video series (can't remember the name at the moment) where she had to wear a dress and make cookies, the fuss she made when she found out. that's why i feel she prefers pants over skirts.

@ GEL and chocopancake: the point I was trying to make is that just because she likes tomboy-ish things and likes to play sports doesn't mean she is masculine. She could be very feminine but still like comfortable shoes and sports. Just like you said in your reply GEL, she may like to get dressed up now and look pretty; but that was my point. I wasn't arguing if she preferred one way to wear clothes over another.

^ is ok but i read Gel's comments and i never saw she said directly Yossie was masculine, maybe she just call it that way to put a name for the "role".
But is ok,my englishj is bad sometimes ,and actually i love Yossie in both type of clothes.

^ you're dead on. BUT, i will say yossy isn't as girly as some girls i know and that's why i love her so. i like that she's not the typical girly girl and that she's that side of her that's not afraid to get dirty. she goes into anything she does without hesitation. she's amazing like that.

those are the best kind of girls. The ones that will do what needs to be done even if that means getting sweaty and dirty or a slight bit icky; but on the other hand loves to look pretty! Aika is like that too; while everyone else is screaming "kowaii, kowaii" she's looking at it like, "I wonder what would happen if I......."
