All these years of following H!P, and I never actually got a chance to go and see one of these concerts. I feel just as dumb as I feel sad right now.

All I can think is "Thank you for the memories" - which in turn makes me want to sing ABBA (Thank You For The Music) *Listens to ABBA*

Its not going to be the same. I LOVED all the Elder Club members. There they go... OH WELLS! New and better things to come! OR at least I hope so. I still believe it's going to be the same just no more interaction with the younger members which doesnt really bother me THAT much but still depressing. It honestly IS the end of an era.

Gahh, cant help but feel sad though. No more massive H!P acts. I shall be supporting M-line the most out of the 4 fanclubs. Hopefully they do well and are more and more active. Wishing all the best for Elder Club.

Waiting for the DVD!! >D

Wow...yossi crying again..she may be a tomboy, but her friends do matter to her...i would really like to see a subbed version of this, just like the Fukuda Asuka graduation, because this is a turnpoint in the history of Hello!Project...and because it's a concert with the faces of the people that have made us, the fans, happy for along time...so really, if there's a concert that should be subbed, this is the one..

They don't technically graduate til March 31, but that date just represents the end of the fiscal year inJapan. Aka business wise their contracts include HP until then, then they will be separated into the other fanclubs, and those not in fanclub will be still under UFA but will be outside the fanclubs.

I'm another one that's happy they are retiring love machine. Yes I like seeing it performed now but everytime they perform it on actual music shows it just feels like they're trying to remind people of what musume was, not what it is. And I'm fine with what it is as well so I'd rather see them promote themselves as something new. If you don't like the new songs anyways then you shouldn't have stayed a fan after Musume started releasing songs you don't like. I love the current and old songs so I have no problems with whatever they decide to do. I'm sure M-line will perform it.

Awww i'm so sad to see them go. I know they were already "Gone" but now they are not under the h!p name.
I wish them all the best of luck in the future and hope to hear from them still in the future!
and wow Ai-chan is now leader? Cool! She will make a good leader but not as good as yuko lol.
So does this mean a possible graduation of Ai in Spring or whenever? Maybe that's why there was another date added for that concert? =| hmm. I hope not.

damn.. most of my favourite members are now officially out of HP. You guys are right, HP will never be the same again. These elderly club girls brought HP to the top. I don't really follow Morning musume (post-5th gen) anymore. Their performances don't appeal to me. Dare I say BK is better than today's MM.

I was at the concert as well (both afternoon and night) and I agree with alita87. As graduations go, this was lame. The elder club got shafted at their own graduation concert. Groups like Ice Cream musume and Shugo should not have been there period and berryz and cute should have been less prominant. When they did the old songs, it was great, but any momentum that got built in the concert got crushed by the newer songs. Also to have the 4 elder representives read the same letter simulataniously was stupid, especially considering the the wonderful hearts representatives each got seperate letters.

Biggest of all though - NO GRADUATION SONG. The set list did not change at all. The white lights everyone bought? No use for them. You usually don't hear encore calls at hp concerts but people did this time because they simply couldn't believe that was it. OG MM came out again and bowed, but did not sing.

Interesting point, everyone cried including Hitomi. But Fujimoto was more stone faced than ever.

Oh, and as for Love Machine being retired, I don't know where they are getting that info from because nothing in the concert indicated that.

Wut, no more LOVE Machine from H!P? That's odd... I mean, it's my favourite song AND the most popular H!P song O_o wow.

I want to watch that concert... but, wait, no Never Forget? That SUCKS so hard.

Well I mostly disagree with you, as since this was the joint concert and it was almost 3 hours long even the first time there's no reason not to include Ice Cream (I did their handshake and they are adorable) and BK/Cute. I love all of them. I was disappointed at the grad concert but wasn't expecting the setlist to change that much. Kinda wish they'd made it shorter though as I was so tired. Freaking out every time one of the girls came by being first row for the afternoon did that ^^. I love being a fanclub member and am right now debating whether or not I can fork out my credit card for Nee-san's fanclub tour in Okinawa that I just got the flyer for.

>Assembler
oh god stupid people like you are the reason I don't post on the forums here but rather on mmbbs. The majority of the graduating girls, those going into fanclubs and those not but still being kept under the ufa label, HAVE CAREERS. Aka they do plays, they are regulars on tv shows, they do lots and lots of fanclub events, aka they make a lot of money. They will get paid in the other fanclubs, they're still under the same company. It's just reorganizing the HP label.

Since they seemed to make this less a graduation concert and more of a passing-the-torch concert, it makes sense to me to not have a final graduation song, and also for the groups who will remain to have a decent-sized role since H!P wants the fans who loved Elder Club to embrace H!P now that it is no longer divided.

Oh, no. I don't really know how to feel right now, or what to say. The members of the Elder Club meant so much, and I hope all of them continue on with their careers. It makes me sad that they will never perform as H!P again, after all these years.

As for Love Machine being retired, I don't know how I feel about that. Its sad that such a great song, that represents such a great era, won't be performed again. It also seem, though, that it is being retired out of respect for that era, which is nice (if not also sad).
I can't wait for the concert DVD. Its being released March 25, right?

I forgot to mention how much it rocked to see Ishiguro backstage like that. I love her. <3

Also, what is this Love Machine being retired nonsense about? "last performance" just means "last performance by Elder Club", no? Unless it was stated they're actually retiring the song, which makes no sense because it's the most popular.

@alita87
there's absolutely no need to call anyone stupid over giving their opinion, even if it was stated as a fact. you seem to be the type who believes everything they read(at least in this particular case). this is clearly a business related decision, this wasn't done so the girls can "advance their career." in the end, Hello Project is a business, and businesses strive from money.

of course H!P will say "we want them to go on and experience other things," "it's time they move on and advance their careers." what were you expecting them to say, we're tired of paying them and they aren't getting as much recognition? they HAVE to say positive and encouraging things to make themselves look like the 'good guys.' bottom line, this was money related. whatever the case, i hope all the girls go on and do well even if it's unlikely.

@alita87:
If the intelligence of hello-online members is such an insult to your obviously sensitive psyche might I suggest that you stay at mm-bbs which I am sure is inhabited by Einstein clones only...
As for your comment where did ASSEMbler say that the former members will join the unemployment line?
You mention the plays and TV shows. So who do you think is paying Miki for Grease, Nacchi for Turandot, Aya for Meringue or Mai for Hexagon? UFA? I hardly think so.
They are getting paid by the producers of said shows who have nothing to do with UFA in most cases.
But there is a difference between having to pay 56 instead of 72 (and rising) members for their HP tour appearances.
And while that may not be the major reason for this restructuring it is a point that can not be discarded, and in no way discredited.
Aside from which your abrasive comment may be suitable for mm-bbs but not HO (and I have NOTHING whatsoever against mm-bbs I might add. I like a good flame, but not here)

Oh, and Gracefallen, I think you @'d the wrong person :-)

Just by seeing all the pictures...it really sinks in that the fact that this is the last time they'll do these performances with H!P...and maybe forever...they are all responsible for bringing H!P's name and popularity...though they'll still be with UFA, I can't help but cry.

Gocchin sent flowers! Ishigura Aya too!! o(TT^TT)o
Passing leadership to Ai-chan...

I really want to see this concert now...I think it will be the saddest, and my most favorite despite the situation.
I wish all their "bright stars" to keep on shining. Elder Club, we'll continue our love for you all ! ! !

This is too sad, but I'm not sad because they're leaving. To me, they've been gone for a long time. I'm sad because I'm reminded of the awesome times of the past that are no longer. It's probably the best for them to graduate for real now anyway.
I will definitely miss the "elderly", but I've been missing them for so long already that this really is not much more than some long-awaited closure.
I'm glad Gottsan, Yossie and Rika-chan all have new projects, though. I'll miss Abe, the rest of Biyuuden and Ayaya as well. Haven't heard of (read: paid attention to) any new projects for them, so my heart bleeds a little extra because of that.

Well, the golden era is long over and closed forever now, and it's probably just as good. We've all got some kick-ass memories, and that's what really counts, right?

@Mattthecat, couldn't have said it any better regarding alita87's attitude and your suggestions. Bravo.

p.s. - Umm...Regarding how Japanese talent management and talent payment system is set up, I'm afraid you have it wrong ;-P But heck. That's a whole another discussion altogether. Not really the point here XD XD (Feel free to PM me if you're interested in knowing how it's set up :-) I used to work with a Japanese TV production company)
