Not much to say about this, as you could probably predict it coming, but it's somewhat depressing since this happened very soon after H!F started subbing episodes every week...

So, what's next?

well, let's just hope they can come up with another brand new TV show, more entertaining than before. But I have to say that well, some HM@ episode is boring not like H!M which is more entertaining. but then again of course it is disappointing since I really like to see Ai-chan >.<.

Can't say im surprised. Haromoni was never as good as Hello Morning and in some respects its surprising it lasted this long. Now perhaps they will return to the tried and tested formula of Hello Morning.

As sad as this may seem, this was already predicted, the show was doing so bad not many people even bothered tuning in. 'Hello Morning' had a nice 45 min. slot with allot of energy but later we've seen much less content as we moved near the end of 2006. Heromoni@ seemed to be much worse. As it was more of the girls sitting around a table talking randomly...

Seems AKB48's show is doing good...Not great, but it's okay.

Definitely bad news. I've been watching H!M and HM@ for years and I don't even like their music. I'm just in it for the TV shows. Hopefully they come up with something new or I guess I'll have to depend on AKB48 for my variety show fix.

My big question is...
will a broadcasting company give H!P another shot at all...
... here's to hoping!

im not surprised...... show was boring ever since they change the theme of the show from visiting neighborhoods of tokyo, trying out local foods and enjoying the city....
to a show about homemade videos and everything happening in the studio... like they are lock in their studio and cages and force to see videos of other people ......

SUPPORT KONNO !

ahhhh!! noo!! I wont be able to see my Kame-chan every week anymore!! and also the MoMusus!!....
I hope they make a much better version of Haromoni@ or make another H!M...
cuz now Haromoni@ is only based on Morning Musume and has less variety... as for H!M its based on all H!P group and members also they have guests of comedians! hehe ^^
but I liked seeing MoMusu every once a week... it wont be the same anymore and Sundays would be pretty boring....

but really they should make another TV show but with all H!P groups/members in it so it would be much more interesting ehehe ^_^

Hm, should have seen this coming. The show was un-terrific in every sense of the word. I hope (and assume) there's something new and hopefully better heading our way, as I don't think I can see MoMusu's general popularity keep up without regular sightings on TV.
Here's hoping for a good ol' reboot ^^

yeah it'd be rly great if they bring the whole of h!p, how the old old H!M used to be like when different members would interact with other members rather then just sticking with the same musume members.

Radical situations need radical solutions. Both 7th and 8th generations have been somewhat disappointing, not in the sense of "omg they suck", but in their "production stage". Take 4th generation as an example, there were 4 people: Aibon-Nono & Yossie-Rika. I don't think Aibon would have stood out so much without Nono and vice versa. Aika is all alone in her generation, as well as Kusumi (despite JunJun and Linlin doing their best, there are still cultural differences to overcome). Both 5th and 6th generations became great friends during their camp training, and you could feel the chemistry between them little after they were introduced to the public. If you put them in one by one, it'll take a lot of time before they connect.

If I were Tsunku (yikes!) I'd announce auditions for a new 9th generation before the show ends, making it big and stuff, and add 3 or 4 members: someone who can sing (poor Ai-chan must be tired), and someone who can be the mood-maker, even if their singing skills are not that great. Then, I'll come up with a new show featuring ALL H!P, that is, Morning Musume, Berryz, ºC-ute, Ongaku Gatas, etc etc EVERYONE. The more, the merrier. It'd be easier for people to find girls they like among all the members than just in Morning Musume.

This obviously wouldn't mean a return to the so-called Golden Age, but I think it'd be an important step.

moutu.. ~~ MOU II YO!!

I didn't watch those shows very often, but when i found those haromoni@ episode lists and saw that like 99% was moutube i was like -_- wtf... any moron with internet can do the same on the net and they're probably better at finding funny clips too.

The first time i saw a moutube episode it was fun, but i quickly realised the same damned type of clips were coming back in -every- moutube. As a producer of that show, you'd really have to be a sadistic monkey to think that's interesting. I really wonder where the creative staff, and the whole bunch who're responsible for letting it go down the drain like that, were with their sanity.

They sure fucked that up, and like others sort of said, Morning Musume is going to suffer for it.

they should remake the show with the old hello!morning format. karaoke, skits, news, etc. that show was ENTERTAINING. strange videos are fun to watch but 50 episodes of moutube is pushing it. i watched the old hello!morning episodes 50-100 episodes at a time, no rest in between to do anything else cept eat and sleep. i can hardly watch a whole moutub- i mean haromoni episode.

the last couple episodes i mostly just skip to the gaki-kame ART skit and thats it.

BRING BACK HELLO!MORNING

and bring back some of the OG musume to host it. (AHEM NAKAZAWA AND NACCHI) oh man that would be so awesome XD

 2008-08-21 12:57
They're probably going to make Kimchi Soup out of poor Cabbage Man now! Do I sense mass suicide about to ensue because of the cancellation of this lacklustre and lifeless show? LOL!! All good things (or in this case, all bad things) must come to an end! :)

Like bn_23_jordan said. All of the episodes were from walking around Japan looking so happy to when they have to be inside watching videos from random people.

I don't really watch the episodes anyways because they weren't as funny and entertaining as Hello!morning was....

 2008-08-21 13:05
ufa must've realized by now they reallly screwed up that fact is that hello! morning had stable and better ratings then haromoni@ ever had in its short run. if they're going to start a new show it should involve all of hello! project and have more variety.

@ Sabaku_no_Leti: I think you've come up with the best solution so far!

I have to agree with everyone else who's said this: intergrating the whole of H!P into one show would be much better. It does seem that H!P has lost some direction in the last few years. They should focus on getting MM right back on top (Oricon wise) and have C-ute, Berryz, Ongaku and their vintage soloists have more involvement in the show.

I didn't find the show to be funny or entertaining. It was too random, and to tell you the truth, the moutube videos weren't really that interesting.
It wasn't as good ad H!M since all of that time, they played games and acted. After the episode with nono in it, I wasn't that interested. But still, it is still sad for the people that watched it every sunday. PLZ, BRING BACK THE 4TH GEN. BACK ON H!M ><.

Actually i thought about it alrdy when i start to find that Haromoni was all about the moutube. However i did enjoy some of the Haromoni but i still like Hello!Morning best, it was so hilarious that i can watch more than twice.
@Sabaku_no_Leti: yes your suggestion seems good, but it seems harder to find such people now, or am i wrong??

@k0nk0n: I agree, it seems a little bit harder :\
However, I think it has nothing to do with a decrease in quality, the new girls are pretty good but lack, er, spark, something. Idols are getting younger and younger and more concerned about their future, they're too serious :\ *insert witty joke here* The first generations didn't mind letting themselves go and challenging or getting tsukkomi-ed by comedians like Nakai or Taka-san, now it seems they have some kind of fear or respect which doesn't really let them enjoy themselves except when they're alone as a group and/or with people like Cabbage Man or that little baby, who are weak and do not bring a challenge. Shows like Utaban, all the Mechaikes, etc helped them to be more popular and attract a wider range of fans; nowadays they hardly get more than 10 minutes of exposure, and it's often overshadowed by the appearance of minor comedians :\
Let it all hang out, girls!

Well, HM@ overall wasn't all that great anyway, even if there were some good moments. But I just hope it's not some signs of bad things to come...

I hope they'll somehow, in some way, have a weekly appearance on TV or something, that i'll be able to see them.

Well, I kind of did see it coming...
Sure it wasn't as good as Hello!Morning, but I still did enjoy Haromoni@ just a little bit.
Sadly it was more boring then not...
But my love for Momusu kept me watching it.
Even if it is boring, I love seeing them every week.
Oh well, hopefully Momusu will get another show.

I also hope that damn baby doesn't come back too... he annoys the living hell out of me.
Cabbage man... he can stay... he's cool.

When they changed the format from "Hello! Morning" to "HaroMoni@", I knew there were problems.

Maybe the baby annoyed more people than just myself...

Haromoni@ had no potential from the beginning. I don't know who thought of it, but he should be fired or, if it is Yamazaki Naoki, kicked off the board by the shareholders. Actually, that should have happened to Yamazaki Naoki years ago, but I digress.

Hello! Morning had already become dull, but its format had inherent potential, so it would have made too much sense for the idiots in management to continue it.

Ever since Miki leave, I notice the show loss a lot of Attitude. I've never really like it from the beginning, I only watch it to see how Miki grope the other girls.
