I feel the sadness this brings to fans of these women, but life goes on. Everything must come to an end for there to be a new beginning. I think it’s real selfish of some fans to want them to remain, think about all the opportunities that this will bring to them. I have to admit to only being a H!P fan in the last few years, but I know I don’t want my favorites in C-ute and Berryz to remain in H!P forever. I want them to grow to go on to bigger and better things and in the end I’ll cherish the great memories as you will also.
For those that seem to have to bash C-ute and Berryz to make yourselves feel better about this shame on you!

Unexpected but not surprising since so many of these members got to do so little in H!P, even though in my view that's where all the talent is, it just makes me angry that the Elder Members, the ones who put H!P on the map, are just being tossed out like trash. I just hope Aya and Miki (the only reason why I bother with H!P at all)completely leave UFA and find somewhere they have a real opportunity to grow as artists and be taken more seriously.

It was fairly obvious when they started releasing MEGA BEST things.
It's about time too. I can't say I was a major fan of the Elder Club, I mean they just sat around rotting away. It was like a kiss of death when you were graduated from H!P and honestly I think some of the people in Elder club are frankly, somewhat useless. Not in terms of personality, singing ability, etc... but they will never sell that great compared to certain others as well as not being meant to be in an idol group.
This is good news for the Elder club. Those who always shined compared to the rest and have great potential but had bad management will probably still be successful at something, like Yaguchi, Aibon/Ai or Gomaki. I mean it's different when you are in a group, but you have to have a certain look, sound and personality to be able to stand on your own which is quite the challenge compared to being a member of a group.
Besides a lot of the Elder Club were simply too old to be in an idol group anyway. I mean some of them have killer talent but should not be subjected to running around in skimpy clothing for guys to look at. Not saying that's not part of the business but when that's all you do and you never release anything, it's time to get out. Although I suppose that job was better than none.
I think it's a breath of fresh air for H!P though, I don't think it necessarily means the end of H!P yet(although there will come a time when it will be disbanded)but just that H!P is getting what their brand should be, right. It was getting too branched out for my liking honestly. I mean it would be all right if everyone was getting work but it wasn't going to happen and some people/groups wouldn't sell anyway so why even bother?
I certainly don't think this is the end for most of the Elder Club, though. I think we'll still see some around, and I certainly do wish them luck on wherever their journey takes them.

Looking back, it sure seems that Tsuji, Kago, and ESPECIALLY Maki read their cards perfectly.
Tsuji figured it was the end of the run and had a kid. Kago already has a new movie. And Maki dumped UFA before they thought of dumping her.

I agree, Elders useless? For me not!!! Elders were the only thing keeping me interested in H!P. I don't really have any interest in the remaining acts... That's what's sad! But it really is all about what a person likes and has interest in...

This is confusing. YoMako, Yuko, Nacchi, Kaori, Mari... other people I love, not H!P? Different label? Doing not idol work? I'm so confused. I hope this gets cleared up soon, because we're all in an uproar. This makes no sense. UFA/Tsunku need(s) to properly explain this. There aren't a lot of things that I'll demand to know just because I'm a fan, but this is certainly one of them.

what are you doing tsunku?!?!?! I can understand members like yuko, yaguchi...all the first gen members...even tsuji graduating.....but i really don't think it is a good idea for rika, yossie, miyoshi, mako, and okada to leave yet. even though they've appeared on some shows they've barely sung on them....well since Uta Doki....I think Mako especially needs to stay for a little longer....as far as i know i haven't seen her sing at all yet since she came back which was like not too long ago. I think ayaya will do fine...well more than fine....after all she is starting to write her own lyrics now. So then whats going to happend now with Yossie and rika being in Hungry and angry? Was that just a one time deal or what. I wonder if tsunku is feeling pressure in trying to keep these girls' career's going. alot of them haven't been doing anything or much....especially miyoshi and okada.....jeez. After all i wouldn't want to maintain 25 individual careers as well as the 3 major groups.

It's not so bad, hearing them all leave at once. It saves the sadness of each individual member leaving one at a time. It's sort of like, instead of going to the dentist and having each tooth pulled out one at a time, you get all your teeth kicked out at once.
But, like, before all this goes down, any chance Ogawa and Konno can get swept back under the proverbial Musume rug?

I always felt something weird about those Mega Best albums being released. I'm really sad about this happening. I guess that means that Country Musume will be officially disbanded since Satoda Mai is graduating. Sure, Country Musume was over after Miuna and Asami graduated...but it was the fact that H!P still recognized the name...even if it was just one girl. Same for Coconuts Musume before Ayaka graduated. But I' starting to ask myself lots of questions. Will Abe Natsumi continue to sing after this graduation? I have a feeling Aya Matsuura will keep releasing under the UFA label, she's been wanting to rid herself of her Ayaya image (I miss that image after seeing her Ne~e PV, haha! But I love the "Kizua" image). As for Mari Yaguchi, I feel she'll keep making TV apperances, Miki Fujimoto will keep singing...Tsuji's gonna stay a mother...Iida Kaori...I think she will probably stay a mother too. Yuko will probably be releasing singles slowly, same for Maeda Yuki. Overall, I'm deely sad about this. I will still listen to Morning Musume, C-ute, BerryZ, and Mano Erina, but I'm not gonna be as big of an H!P fan as I was before. I will always remember H!P for how it started.

All of the reasons I loved Hello! Project are now gone. Hello! Project, as I understand it, just died. Well, there is nothing I can do about it, and I'm sure that 10-year-old girls will still like the shell of a group that is left.

personally, i find this absolutely ridiculous. yeah, they should expand themselves out of H!P sooner or later, but i would expect them one by one (like Ayaka).. not altogether. and i was starting to listen to the Elder Club units more and more D;
but i still will support them in the future. they only have a few months left

After getting back from the shock and reading again tsunku comments, i don't think their getting rid of the elder club totally, what i think the are doing is letting the girls from elders club a chance to be more variable, my point been that as part of HP! they mos be the perfect girls(idol) or your out, in my opinion their gonna create a new label for them where they could be a little more rebel girls instead of perfect girls,
Well in resume, calm down everybody, in a few month we are gonna know for sure, so don't go committing massive suicide just yet.
