^My exact reaction when first seeing this. It's so great to see this first thing in the morning. -.-;; But as others have said, it might not exactly be bad. They may not be labeled under H!P anymore, but they could still be under UFA. I guess it'll take time to find out.

Surprising that this was announced as it was, I believe some will definitely professionally benefit from this. I hope most will personally benefit. When I saw the list of mega-album releases my first thought was WTF where are the two I really really want??? I'm hoping these aren't the severance packages because if so Tsuji got screwed big time again since my Mini Moni & W ones aren't there. Of course this removes a major contractual hurdle from seeing Tsuji & Ai Kago perform together(I can dream can't I?)

Wait, WHAT!? NO MORE YUKO AS THE LEADER!?!? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Konkon and Mako'd just returned to H!P and now they leave! Also Ongaku Gatas, they were sooo good... oh god... I'm soooooooooo sad, loved Elder Club...

I hope they'll do SOMETHING in UFA, if that's right, I feel happy for them. H!P was so unfair with the amount of attention they .

So all people was right about the MEGA-best collection............... I'm so shocked!!!!!!!! So H!P'll just have Morning Musume (and the new Momusu REALLY sucks now), Berryz Koubou and ºC-ute as BIG groups... it seems like the H!P Kids are going to make de difference. I'm sooo worried about them. The elders were their mentors, also their friends. I think they'll feel a little alone without them...

What's going to happen to H!P....? :(

What the....

Well, there goes whatever fandom I had for H!P. If Yuuko ain't leading it, and Nacchi ain't somwhere in it, I don't wanna listen to it.

Retards.

well looks like UFA finally ran out of money to pay all those people. if you want to look on the bright side, there will probably be more funding for momusu i guess? :| but yeah, this is terrible.

if the legendary people like nacchi and yuko are gone, it just doenst feel the same, plus no more full HP concerts and those were always the best ones :(

The older will be Ai-chan, right? With just 22 years :/ ......... oh, H!P will be so loli now......

It's not the first time that UFA makes mistakes, they made several major mistakes in the past. They have no idea how to manage talents properly, dropping sales since a few years show it. How can people still take UFA serious after all the BS they made allready? Some of these girls is going to dissappear, some have some other projects, and I hope some of them goes to another record label where they are more valued.

well yeah, another reason for me to lose my interest in H!P completely, which already started fading a long time ago.
atleast this news came the same day as Super Juniors japanese single's mv came out? :/
something to take my mind of this.

My initial reaction was freakin ridiculous and what the hell like many others. But now that i think about it they probably will herd the majority of them off into some new branch of UFA where they'll be safe which Im sad and happy about. Sad because well, its not HP to me anymore. Ive never cared much about Berryz and C-ute, so morning and all the soloists and groups like viyuden, melon and GAM were my HP. But Im happy because they will hopefully get more opportunity now. Because alot of them were getting a whole lot of nothing. I just hope those with crap loads of solo potential like aya and miki completely leave UFA and go somewhere like AVEX so they have a real opportunity to grow as artists and be taken more seriously.

So... are they going to make new groups??? I mean, they have to! there are three groups now, °C-ute, BK and MM, maybe some of the eggs will make a new one.

I'm a little worried for H!P, graduated member can stand alone I'm sure many of them can do it by themselves in other places. Now there are the most important groups in H!P, but Is that fine at all? What happen with the fans?? specially the Japanese ones. How this move is going to affect them and consecutively how is this going to affect H!P???

I have heard many times, fans don't like the idea of graduate members from MM and they prefer to leave them (the group). Then there are several Elder Club fans, because they are the history of H!P... maybe I'm exaggerating but maybe it's important, too. Because they are who attend to concerts and buy H!P stuff (more than us).

On the other hand, as many of you, I'm part sad-surprised, and part happy, because it is not a lie these girls have been stuck a looooooong loooong time ago, and their effort deserve better things!!! they are really talent people, so they will be better (I hope so..) trying new ways. Of course, I feel kind of disappointed for this event. But I wish them my best feelings and support!!! ^__________^

Who is going to be the leader in H!P now? Takahashi Ai?

WTF?
I honestly don't know what to say, I need to let this sink in first.
Hopefully there will be a new branch of UFA for them.
No matter what I will support them in their futures!

On all you UFA haters: Go look in a mirror, then ask yourselves what you have achieved so far in your lives.

UFA is a giant company, responsible for a wide array of projects, including Hello!Project. They have given us H!P, and from the time of its conception til today there have been some minor and major hiccups, but nothing really of the level where they ought to be executed en masse.

You keep on separating the girls from UFA, somehow "taking their sides" whatever that is supposed to imply, and you somehow view them as their own entity. But without UFA there is no H!P and no H!P girls to enjoy.

UFA have given us so much joy it's unfathomable, atleast it would appear to be, from the comments and posts on this site - collective amnesia is the new in, where people focuses on the negative and forgets the positive.

The positive right now is that H!P is still around, with MM, C-ute, Berryz Koubou and Eggs - and the positive in the negative is that perhaps, just perhaps, some of the girls within the Elders domain of H!P now are finally given a chance to have their own careers outside of H!P.

It does seem that it could be the chance that so many wanted, for them to prove that they can stand on their own and have a successful solo career. Well, now we're most likely going to get that. Afraid they can't hang?

"I don't really care that they're most likely being moved to a separate thing under UFA. It just makes me angry that the elder members, the ones who ###### got H!P to where it is now, are just being tossed out like nothing more than trash." [2]

I think this is the time for the girls to grow! It's sad but they'd be able to do more things, 'cause they won't be "idols" anymore ^^~~

wait! calm down guys!, i know it's a big slap but what if this is the great news?. i mean c'mon all the members they DO have a career of their own!.. but even though they don't have the right to make all the girl graduat like that!!... i mean if it's was a 1 or 2 but not ALL!.
i really like aya-chan but why does it have to be with the others unless there's something is goin' on!. i hope it's a good thing & i'm sure about this.

Hmm, I'm okay with this. I respect Tsunku's desicion if he thinks this is the best for H!P in this situation (with decreasing popularity etc). The only one of those I actually cared about is Ayaya, and I think she'll keep having success with her solo career :)

They dump Hello!Morning, then Haromnoni.
Melons Kinembi vanish into thin air.
Then, they toss Hangry and Angry (Hitomi and Rika).
Now, every past member - including Aya and Miki,- is purged.

It may be the economy, but this is definitely "thinning out the ranks."

First initial reaction: Huh? What?
3 seconds later after realizing what I just read: WHAT WHAT WHAT?!?!? O__O

Too shocking and so damn sudden...
And with so little info too...

This might not be a bad thing though and might just be for the best.
But either way, I am still really sad... T_T

:: Sighs ::
Konkon.... I hope she still has a career in the music world... I would love to see her on tel--- anything again for that matter..
It's still too early to decide whether or not this is good news since we won't know what will happen in all honesty, just mere guesses.
Hmm... I can't believe Yuuko is leaving o.o" she has been in there for so long that I didn't think it was possible..

Haah... I actually saw the news yesterday and my heart stopped for a moment and I just left the computer hoping that on the next day there would be some sort of note saying it was all a joke, I suppose that was wishful thinking.
I do realize that them staying in H!P will accomplish absolutely nothing considering their lack of coverage for the past... year?
Hopefully this change will be for the better, I'm going to continue being optimistic until I see news on anything otherwise.

On the other hand, I wonder what will happen to the girls left behind? Will Morning Musume finally be able to outshine that giant shadow the older generation has cast? Or will every fan just flock to those that left?
I'm planning on supporting both sides either way, MM and Konkon(if she continues that is), because if you look at MM without thoughts of the "Golden Age" then you will realize everyone has their cute aspects. But I digress...

Hopefully this doesn't become one large slap in the face for UFA.

###### you UFA. That's all I have to say. Ayaya and Mikitty were probably the best soloists in H!P, 1000000x better than Mano Erina or Koharu (also known as fake-voice).
Konkon JUST came back.
And Hangry and Angry JUST became a new unit.
And Ishikawa Rika and Okada Yui and Miyoshi Erika JUST became soloists
And Melon Kinenbi has been kicking ass since it was formed.
Honestly, I just don't know what the hell is wrong with UFA.
They can't just sack the best singers in H!P....oh wait, they just did.
And for what? Berryz? C-ute?? I'm sorry, but most of the singers in those groups can't even compare to Elder Club.
Wake up and smell the roses, UFA, you're ###### yourselves over.

One of my greatest wishes has always been that AYA separates from H!P, i really hate a lot of things they do to the girls.
But just now isn't the best moment for AYA to do the NEXT STEP...

 2008-10-19 18:19
Well, unexpected, but not surprising.

Anyway, just because of this these girls will not vanish from Earth's surface, even so some may vanish from the TV screen; but that is matter of talent, popularity and their personal decissions.

Btw, does that make Ai-chan H!P leader?

I am stunned... i don't know what to say. I just don't know... How can they do this. I'm actually dizzy right now.... I can't believe it! This is awfull...

I'll cling on to my last string of positivity thinking here, but they wont be gone for good and Hello-online.org WILL still keep track on em! Promise me that!!!

So many of these members got to do so little in H!P, it's not surprising to me much. Hopefully, being free to do other things will give them all the chance to do what they want.

I wanted them to let the odler more talented girls go so they could make something of themselves...but not all at once~ lol I'm not shocked, though I did have to read twice to make sure it wasn't a joke. It's a double edged "YEY-BOO"

The only thing I have an issue with is Yuko leaving because that leaves them with no real leader and since every thinkable runner up is also leaving I'm just confused ~lol~
I think they all knew this was going to happen - Aya's interview, IshiYoshi's group - I just hope they all do better without the label (both H!P and Idol)

i'm shocked. after the Hangry & Angry announcement, Ongaku Gatas coming back with a single, and for goodness sakes Ayaya in their midst.. i just don't get it.

this is depressing.. i hope this leads to something else. either some other branch within UFA, or something new entirely, i don't care. i just don't want to see all these girls released into the music industry and made to fend for themselves. we know only a couple of these girls would ever get taken seriously. the rest might end up the same as they are now, only making appearances and doing odd jobs, waiting for the chance to someone to let them release something again.

oh goodness...please turn into something good.

and i echo Charon, does this leave Ai-chan as leader of all of H!P? xD;; i'm not sure she's ready for that..

Well, I'm happy.

If you think of the graduating members as people instead of pretty faces that sing and dance in front of drooling boys, then this is an excellent career move, whether voluntary or not. I was really happy for Ayaka when she made the move to marriage and an acting career and I hope this will be the catalyst for many of these other members to move on with their lives in a more fulfilling way.

In a way, I'm sad that I won't be able to see them in PVs or concert videos any more, but we probably will continue to see them in other television shows as much as we would if they were still under contract, and even if we don't, it's diminishing returns at this point.

I probably won't stick with H!P after March 31, because Takahashi Ai and Kamei Eri are pretty much the only ones left over that I like, and all the rest are younger than me, which makes me feel like a pervert. But it sets the stage for a new generation of H!P to flourish.

Just the idea of this had me angry. But then I stopped and realized; I don't even know half of these girls. Really, some people like myself have only ever listened to Morning Musume. So that leaves 11 girls, if I counted right, that I even know and love as an idol. (I can name Aya by looking at her, but have never listened to her) So in reality, I'm apathetic to this whole thing seeing as my favourite girl is already gone (Aibon).
But it really is a shock to see all of these girls leave at once. Especially Konno and Ogawa who pretty much JUST came back. But then, Nono is leaving without even making a come back after giving birth... I think that's what has hit me hardest. But that just refuels my hope that she will be seen with Aibon in the future, whether as a duo or not, at least as the friends they were.
Also, I hope what alita87 said is true and that they're leaving UFA all together. It would be a lot better for them to go out and find brand new contracts than be stuck under UFA.
This comment is really me just saying that I hope they do better than they have recently done in the Elder Club. Good luck to all of these girls; they're beautiful and can find great work no matter what they do or even if they decide to stay home. Ganbatte~

EDIT: I just thought of something, will Hello!Online still update us on the girls? Maybe in one big post every once in a while to check in on them, or how ever H!O wants to go about it, I would really like that, and I'm sure everybody else would~ Thanks for this news!

really, it's about damn time. Tsunku was probably worked to death writing songs and trying to keep up all the veterans. The guy probably didn't even have a life and has a new kid as well. This is great for MM, C-ute, Berryz etc, tho sad...
