It's sad to hear, I would be gutted as well if something I look forward to was canceled. I hope this won't happen again in the future.

This is terrible :( I wasn't going but knew that lots of H!P fans had planned to travel and to Stockholm from all over Europe.

Terrible of them to blaim it on the global economy, which is just becoming a scape goat to everything at the moment!

tasukidaisuki,

Entirely agreed. It is nothing more than an excuse, and a weak one at that.

What is the reality of things is that this is something that lies entirely upon the staff and organizers of SJX.

Proper planning way ahead of an event is what you need to have.

You also need to have advertising and promotion, something SJX had nothing of from what I can hear. How can you have a public event, which relies upon visitors that pays, without marketing? It's retarded.

And to top things of, apparently SJX staff were told by a superior of theirs within SJX, named "Mika", to not tell anybody about SJX's cancellation until Friday - for whatever unknown reason.

To put it mildly: SJX have behaved incredibly amateurish.

I can only thank the ones at SJX that decided to post the news about the cancellation today, instead of letting fans worry themselves sleepless until Friday.

^ Agree! This is really shocking!

I´m from germany. I already bought a ticket, booked a flight and made a reservation in a hotel. I paid arround 350 €! I won´t get any money for the flight back! And I think a lot of people will have the same problem. This just sucks.

Argh! Atleast I'm supposed to get all money back, but damn. Everyone that booked flights and shit, it's gotta sting for them.

WOW, I'm not big on Buono and certainly wouldnt be able to make it if I did, but I feel horrible for those planning on going. I don't know what I would do if they suddenly decided to cancel AX with Morning Musume. But seriously, I agree with tasukidaisuki and Krusha, blaming the economy is the worst excuse ever. I am REALLY sick of that excuse. If AX can still run smoothly in America, one of the worst countries effected by this economy, then I think you could have done something so your convention could run smoother over there.

 TurtleFu
 2009-04-21 16:39
For those blaming Stockholm - don't. It's incredibly difficult to gather a convention like this, and even so it was a longshot. I myself was actually surprised that ANYONE from NA wanted to go, because it's actually cheaper from where I live to go to Japan than Stockholm.
I certainly feel bad for the Europeans, but what are they SUPPOSED to do? Still have the convention even though they can't afford it? It just wasn't posssible, it wasn't amateurish, it just didn't turn out right.

Damn, this really sucks. I'm pretty shocked. I wasn't going to go, but I was very excited for people that were going to attend and was looking forward to hearing about it.

@Krusha, agree. Incredibly amateurish.

OMG !

In early march I, living in germany, considered going to Stockholm to see this marvelous band. I´ve been checking flight prices, train prices, hotels and such and was finaly disapointed not being able to go because of work. Now I´m glad that i haven´t booked anything.

But i´m truly sorry for the people who wanted to go and now can´t enjoy the expo and of course Buono! Maybe we all get a new chance !!!

I'm sorry to everyone who planned an going to Stockholm to see Buono! That's REALLY shitty that the whole expo was canceled for stupidness...now lots of plans have been torn up. D: I had no plans on going, but I feel for the people who did.

((ps. any H!P acts who want to come to Anime North in Toronto, we're more reliable than Stockholm's expo, I promise. =P))

joekickass: I've been to Anime North :D I wish Morning Musume was going there instead of AX just because I can drive to Toronto lol (I'm in the metro-Detroit area, 15 minutes from the border)

God, that really sucks.

I hadn't bought a ticket, but for all the people who did buy tickets, booked flights, told friends...

I give you my sympathy, truly, I can only imagine how much it has to sting for people who did so much to be let down like this...

But there will be other days, don't let it get you down too much.

I feel really sad for the European Fans man that just sucks D: I through fiancial problems were bad here in the US but it's even worst over there. I hope some how Buono! could makeup and would still come to the fans and perform for them.

you also have to feel bad for the Miyavi fans too, Buono fans aren't the only ones disapointed. Its still possible they could do a gig maybe Buono and Miyavi can team up and rent a space some where lol, cant be too hard

@ Amee. - MCM London Expo is a trade show - more or less all they have there are traders selling merchandise, companies promoting products, a few no-name Sci-Fi guests and DDRUK doing games. Have you seen their music entertainment this year- there's no budget for someone like Buono! You've got more chance of Buono! coming over to the UK if they either attatch themselves to an anime convention (which are too small in the UK) or come over themselves, like An Cafe LM.C etc., which I don't see them doing.

i'm so sorry to all the fans whose hopes were raised. :< that's really unfair.

That sucks!! There was no way I could go (no money lol) but I really feel sorry for all of you that were planning to go... also for the Miyavi fans... that's sooo unfair...
They're so unprofessional blaming the economy... how stupid... they need to stop using that lame excuse for EVERYTHING...
Well, at least Momusu is still going to AX, but once again, there's no way I could go xD and I don't think they'll ever perform in Mexico, dang third world... lol jk i dont hate my country... it's just that... H!P... wahhh... i'm so jealous of all my friends, that like "normal" music and they can see their favorite acts perform often, to think i'll probably never be able to do so is just... wahh xDD
