i wonder how it will affect the current members... communication barrier anyone?

 Kantana
 2007-03-15 19:09
@hervin: I was thinking about that too. How are two Chinese girls supposed to participate in a Japanese j-pop group?
And as kitamurafan said, we can't nay-say them yet. We'll just have to wait in excitement and see...

I won't say anything until I've heard them sing, I'm not sure this is a good thing or not :/.
Junjun was really cute though! Btw.. a guy in my class is called Junjun ^^

My cousin's nickname is "Jun-jun" LOL

Yea... I wonder if these "exchange" members are just temporary for the purpose of the 10 year anniversary celebration?

I'd like to see if they show up on any Hello! mornings coming up, that would be super fun to watch (especially if they can't speak Japanese).

I have seen some Taiwan webpage and know that Taiwanese dislike this news very much. But maybe Tsunku do not know how Taiwanese hate Chinese people. I know some Taiwanese become very very sad and even want to use knife to cut their own hands! If someone know Tsunku, maybe it is very urgent to email to tell him the problem between Taiwanese and Chinese. His decision will become too political and will make Morning Musume nearly totally lose the Taiwan market.

This is pretty cool. They can help Tsunku outwith MM songs since they both know how to play an instrument.

not only the taiwanese, i thought that the japanese themselves hate chinese and in reverse. not trying to be political in here :P

Just wondering do the new members know Japanese?~ if not, how are they going to cope with the songs? some special Japanese training classes organized by tsunku?

 Elfy
 2007-03-15 20:26
He was impressed with the fact that they could play instruments but... the last time I saw a Morning Musume girl play an instrument they were in tuxedos and simply trying to blow the horn. Oh well, this is really weird but I hope they are really good and get along. Maybe they will be outcast like Mika in Minimoni, forced to wear outfits reflecting chinese heritage ;p

another question~ morning musume is still a Jpop unit right?~? or chinese pop.

probably both now chinko ....

You're right! Even the relationship between Chinese and Japanese are not good. I think Tsunku should choose two Taiwanese members. As the relationship between Taiwan and Japan is much much better. Tsunku is totally wrong this time.

These news are as incredible as the outcome of this single action is unpredictable.

Could go both ways. I still don't see how they will work in a H!P context with DVDs, FLETs, H!M and all.

Uhm.. I'm not sure I'm liking this, but then again it could be good if we're lucky.
But... Tsunku...why Chinese?! Is Japan out of talent?!
They're relatively old compared to earlier gen selection.

Yeah.. I really don't know if I should be excited or not..

Short comment to kawaiiii: FLETS is officially ended.

Thread on H!O forum about this topic:
http://www.hello-online.org/index.php?showtopic=4533

General Japanese reaction to this is outrage, disappointment and confusion.

My thoughts? Tsunku should stop drinking Datura stramonium tea. He needs more clarity, less hallucinations and over the top silliness.

If these are the new members of Morning Musume, then excuse me, but UFA is full of crap.

This is awesome another culture joining the Japanese music. So this means these girls are going be in Morning Musume as 8th generation with Akia?

I also give up on Morning Musume. I'm not even Japanese and I still feel betrayed. I hope the solo careers of some of the musume aren't endangered by this.

Wow. okay I didn't see this comming! But I knew that aika was not enough for the 8th gen. besides her braces there was nothing special about her. ( sorry aika fans) I wonder if these two new gils will be in yossi's last single?

omg, I don't know what to say.....should I be happy? or mad?
I mean I luv the idea of expanding with to other countries, but it just seems like a plot to get money, I am by all standards shocked, a little scared of what's gonna happen. T_T I'm happi and mad at the same time!! I don't know what ta do!! Taskete!!

I don't understand why people are feeling betrayed or worried? :/ Change can be a good thing, most people are just scared to try it.

 2007-03-15 21:49
It's MM. Adding non-japanese people to that unit, which is *the* Japanese idol unit, is upsetting to a great deal of people.

 azn4fho
 2007-03-15 21:57
yeah kinda, and i don't think many are worried, it was just so unexpected, like we were in this general routine of MM and out of the blu comes this news

somebody should go and kick tsunku in head :)

but lets wait and see...

all i can say is that, the glory days of Morning Musume has ended. The darkage has just begun.

:*(

I can sense a uproar about this, since the Japanese and Chinese has a long history of hate on each other, this is going to be a big issue to debate on for long run.
