This is definitely exciting news. I'm looking forward to Fujimoto's future releases (and whatever Ogawa does in the future.) (^-^)

[Edited] It's interesting that JP Room would also work with Sony, which is such a megacorporation itself. One would think that Sony and Up Front are rivals in that they each have their own entertainment acts. [Edit: It's just been pointed out to me that Sony has always been distributing MM stuff (thanks, Reyfer!)] Perhaps the two firms don't see each other as vying for the same market so it doesn't matter, for example, if a UFA management agency promotes Sony artists on occasion. It's also interesting in that these 4 ladies are quite different in focus (Ogawa - comedy, variety; Miki - Enka, acting) and musical styles. Maybe it doesn't matter if we're talking about negotiating business deals.

@Nouciel: Thanks for the link. I had seen that page before but what confused me this time was the intro that mentioned "J.P ROOM is a management/promotion company that works with other agencies such as Up-Front, TNX, Sony and Yoshimoto Kogyo." When I saw mention of "Sony" (obviously not a UFG company), I then automatically--and erroneously, it seems--assumed that JP Room was somehow independent of UFG. **Goes to edit first post before more confusion ensues**

@Nouciel/Mizer: J.P ROOM is *not* under Up-Front. They are an independent company.

But listed as associated company of UFG. Guess it depends on how you define "independent"... It certainly was expected that some kind of shuffling around would take place to dinf a place for all the girls. So while it's good news to see confirmed that they will basically stay with the company I don't think when it comes to what they are doing professionally not much will change.

Well, it's good to see that there's already action being taken for some of those who are graduating. Seeing that it has been done almost half a year prior to the actual graduation, shows a lot of hope for the remaining graduates - for me at least. I haven't been keeping up with H!P news like usual, but anyways...
Good for them =)

It's really starting to sink in. I see all these avatars with groupings. The strong point of HP was groupings, constantly rotating but always mindful of good pairings. Now unless they run into each other on some kind of talk show we will never see them together again. (especialy sheep goat and Tricia's avatars)

Even though Mano Erina is on this label, that doesn't change wether or not she's part of H!P. After all, several different H!P artists are on different labels. Though, I hope that they'll let Mako and maybe Konno rejoin, because they just joined and then got graduated, and besides I want them to make a 5gen-only unit!

As I recall, Konno rejoined for the sole purpose of playing in GATAS.
@Arche: Erina isn't graduating from H!P. JP Room just manages her career/recordings or whateer it is called (not fluent in entertainment terminology ^_^; ). It is just like how Buono! is managed by PonyCanyon. Airi, Miya and Momo are still H!P artists.
Why are you guys making it complicating LOL

I don't care who manages them as long as their releases are still uploaded to the tracker so I can see what they are up to....I don't keep up with any other sites so I'm hoping that even if they all aren't Hello Project anymore, that people will still up their stuff here:)

So whats gonna happen with Aya and GAM?

^ Umm, IMO: because of the style of career Miki and Aya have now, it's very unlikely GAM will return. Miki has said many times that she's happy with what she's doing now and Aya's said that she's moved away from the idol image on purpose (there's some interview with her explaining it all in detail). Of course neither Miki nor Aya have the ultimate control on wether GAM will continue or not, but by the looks of it, they do have some voice, at least on the current direction of their careers.
@Kuno: As Mattthecat said, JP ROOM is still in that UFG's associates list...

How exactly are people managing to read the word 'associated', and coming to the conclusion that they're a part of UFG? Associate implies they're a partner company, which is exactly what the report says - they're working with the UFA (as well as other companies in the industry).

Yeah, on the R and A agency website, Mainstream (Aibon's agency) is listed as "an associated company" and they both have the same physical address.

If you take a look at all MM albums and singles, and even some DVDs, you'll see this: Distributed by Sony Music Japan. There you have the relationship.

@Shakey_Jake33: Maybe because UpFront Agency is listed above it :) I think this is more than just a casual partnership. Quite frankly in the entertainment world it's almost impossible to say who owns whom and what the exact linkages are. But I think it's pretty safe to assume that they are (in one way or another) directly linked to UFG (which isn't the same as UFA). It doesn't really matter anyway. Being a HP artist is like being an Olympic Champion: You will stay that forever which is HO's position too. You will continue to see former HP artists' material on the tracker in the future and they will continue to be with threads in the forum as well.

Actually it's not a label. It's a management/promotion company. From what I can gather that means that those four are not managed and promoted by UpFront Agency anymore but JP Room which however seems to be closely linked with the UpFront Group with which UpFront Agency is associated as well. So they are basically (from what I can gather again :-) shuffled from one of UFG's agencies to another. But as I said before who knows the exact ties there... Now the task of such an agency is to look for jobs, shows, contracts and labels for their artists. Corrections welcomed :-)

As long as Mako does SOMETHING, I can't complain. Maybe she'll get the publicity she desrves this way instead of being shoved in the back like she always was in Morning Musume.

well. if its gone that way. thats look cool enough. but is that mean, the rest that will graduate next year will also move to this new management too?. well like yoshi, rika and konno.... they will also make selling right?. (they still 21-23. its possible right?.".).
it will be bored without them. (cause i guess the 4th, 5th and 6th was a miracle member. if one of them gone, i think something will feel be different.)
