First comment~?
This was pretty interesting to read. xD I really liked some of Kago's reasoning. Though I have to say, this seemed pretty odd. And from the descriptions here, the girls seemed to be going at each other's throats. Watch out, Aibon.
Too bad she got second. D : If I were a man, I would have ranked her 10.

I enjoyed this. I wonder if it's on veoh or dailymotion. I'll search later. I want to see how they are yelling at each other.

So what were the reasons for Kago's second place? Personally, I thought she would end up as number 5.

Sorry, I missed adding the paragraph containing the reasons Kago was picked, so go back and check it out!

Hmm... Not sure what to think about this. Kago was pretty frank, almost in a rude way, but it seems like all of the women were going at each other's throats. That last screenshot is gold.

Makes sense that Kago would like older men... they give you a sense of security, and maybe it's because she didn't see her dad so much when she was younger?

hehe, i was wondering why the reasons for Kago were left out. but anyway... this was awsome. i watched the episode while i was reading the description and it was just like a subbed episode. great job on this. thank u very much.

I recognize #7 as the woman from Music Fighter, but I'm unfamiliar with all of the others.

I had no problem with anything except the presence of a gravure woman (I won't call them idols) on a show with legitimate entertainers.

As for Kago, I get the impression that, loveable though she is, she is too changeable and indecisive to settle down permanently.

Thanks for the translation, it says a lot...

misono is Koda Kumi's younger sister, for those who don't know.

Surprisingly, I had fun reading this. THANKS!
Aibon's rankings and reasonings were so bold...XD It was kind of rude...-- And the real rankings and reasonings given by hte survey were interesting to read about too.
I'd hate to say it...but ouch; burnnn @ Misono....lol.

Aibon's still interested in older men huh....well, the reasoning they gave her was sort of true. - Someday, I hope she'll finally find a good love and be happy; and we'll see if she's ever like the "devil queen" when she gets older. XP

Now I'm off to DL! (*~*) I wanna see this for real. lolz.

I recognize a lot of those women just because they are on Japanese TV all the time, especially Sumiko Nishioka, Sayaka Aoki, and Kanako Yanagihara. And of course Suzanne, haha. They're on almost every variety show. If I have time I really want to see this, but that's mostly because I always missed out on watching London Hearts but I loooove Atsushi Tamura. <3 jealkb. XD

Wathing this I laughed my ass off.

It was not merely what Kago said which seemed kinda out of place for her, but the way she delivered it.

Not dissing the summary, but if you haven't seen it, you might picture her as just being plain evil/bitchy here, instead of the more cute and devilish kind ;)

ForeverKago: faraithi uploaded this to Veoh, go to the Aibon thread and get the link. Now that I have the synopses, I'm going back to watch it again with a better understanding. I think Aibon was being a combination of "frank" (the show seems to call for that) and being a bit of an actress......which, of course, she is. I thought it was funny that they invoked her OhMyNews buddy who said that Kago doesn't have time for love because she's concentrating on her career. I already suspected as much. I think she's so concerned about her image now that she's avoiding being publicly associated with any particular man. I also think that she's so singular that she might have a hard time finding a match for her........she probably WOULD get bored if someone wasn't up to her level.

thanks a lot for doing this
I love evil Kago, and she was mainly hidden away in her later years at H!P.

Although I'm not sure I want her to turn into Sugita Kaoru in 20 years time

Damnz, that's a brutal show!

It's not uncommon in Japanese television as far as I can tell, though. Perhaps limited to Japanese television featuring idols. But it seems like a lot of snarky remarks come out of people towards other people, even those on stage with them at the time. I mean, what're you gonna do? Camera's rolling, people are amused by this, the hosts encourage it, it's commonplace. They might even just be in the habit of shrugging it all off when they go backstage.

Thanks for the summary. It was very well written and I'll go so far as to say it's more entertaining than a subbed version of the video might be since it provides extra insight but it makes more sense if you watch the episode.

Kokusho Sayuri was in Onyanko Club which many mention as the prototype for a group like Morning Musume/AKB48 from the 80's. Kudo Shizuka was also in that group.

As bad as it is once I got into LonHa I kept wanting to watch more. Voted worst show by the Japanese PTA! You can find most of the episodes from this year at d-addicts. Maybe it's time to start a LonHa thread somewhere!

Just going by how she acted on the show misono seems a lot like the tomboyish next door neighbor type girl who'd get ignored by the boy while he goes off trying to get the popular girl in school.

XD I saw this competition yesterday, and I even participated in the online one. I voted for Kamei Eri. ;p

This TV one though was really weird and interesting. Yanagihara is a strange choice for ten though, I thought Kago might go higher but I suppose I can see why she got placed higher...

Took me a while to realise the higher your number, the worse. XD

she's trying too hard.
it's kinda sad that she reveals something told in confidence for the sake of a show. hopefully its all scripted. most japanese shows seem real but are actually scripted.

Thanks so much for the summary. Why can’t there be shows like this in the U.S.? It would be great to have a London Hearts for the Momusu OGs. Maybe the current ones can do this on Haromoni@.

I hope Kago did the right thing by participating on this TV show, which I’m not familiar with but seems to be a lioness’ den of rough gossip. I mean, she’s been trying to put her career back together after the scandal, give interviews in which expresses repentance, etc., then she comes on a program like this talking about preferring older men, calling another girl “BAKA,” etc. Maybe she was, like misono mentioned, trying too hard and just really wanted to earn her paycheck for the show by making entertaining remarks. I’m a little worried, though, that people will take this appearance the wrong way and conclude she hasn’t learned anything humility from her experiences. On the other hand, maybe a fun program like this makes the whole scandal issue seem silly and distant. Let’s hope it all comes off OK.

Edit: I also got from the screencap of her discovery that she was in the top 2 a sense of deja vu from the Mechaike Kusojo special when Aibon began to realize that she or Yossie was going to be the "Crap Girl."

Aibon called Suzanne baka because she's from PABO, so it was smart joke.
btw when watching, it doesn't seem so rude as in text descriptions

Snarky comments, backhanded compliments and sarcastic jokes are expected on shows like London Hearts, especially in the segment Kago Ai appeared in. It's all in fun, and I doubt anyone gets truly offended by it (except the PTA ^_-). I don't think that those who watched this episode will think bad things about Aibon after watching it, it's only a TV show and a lot of these shows are scripted in some way.

We've got this show in the Netherlands too, with Dutch celebrities. It's all in good fun, but some celebrities just don't like each other:)
