It sounds horrible in my opninion. It's like she just screams something at some points and the song isn't catchy at all. Pv looks nice, though.

The PV is kind of disappointing, especially compared to the Milky Way debut. The director seems to have just recycled shots from 'Chance" and 'Koi Kana', and I have to agree that it's hard to find a 'hook' to the tune. Hopefully, these issues won't matter to the audience of 4 to 10 year-olds the producers are targeting. Maybe with some strong promotion it can still break 35K in sales, but does KK have time to appear on Oha Sta with the Cinderella rehearsals?

I love how it's so cute. I don't get why so many of you keep talk about her singing... She obviously can sing. Listen to her lines in Mikan, they are great. This isn't supposed to be the highest vocal quality ever released, it is supposed to be cute and catchy and it DEFINITELY succeeded in that department. and the PV is great too, I love bright colors.

Complaining about Koharu's singing is kind of like complaining about Hikaru Utada's inability to dance.
Very true, but, clearly not the point of what they're selling.
I've tried, actively at some points, to dislike Koharu but she's so happy to be doing what she's doing that it makes me feel happy for her that she's so happy. Call me crazy, but, that's the spoon we're being fed, IMHO.

She is indeed a terrible singer, but I kinda like the song ^^ Not her best though, the refrain isn't as catchy as in Chance or Ramutara :P But still an ok single for Koha ^^

I've never once liked Koha, and this single just proved once again my reason. I tend to like singers who can actually sing. Koha in Momusu is perfectly fine, but her in a solo project is completely bad. This song is as bad as that one live performance she did of Happy. Now, I won't hold everything up against her, since she's still very young and has a lot of time to improve, but Koha is seriously what I think of as an average idol now. Unable to sing, but with very good looks and dancing skills, etc. I'm losing hope in H! P as well, except for C-ute.

Chance was awright.

the song is a little boring compared to her other stuff. I'm a big fan of her's but this is probably my least favorite song (for now). I'm sure it'll grow on me after the single releases and I listen to it more. It reminded me of "Chance!" a lot but that's not a bad thing because I love that video and song.
As for her voice, I think it fits the stuff she is singing. It's very cute and makes me smile. If she can't really sing live... i don't really care. I have the same opinion on that for everyone cause not everyone can dance and sing at the same time so as long as you're dancing, you don't have to sing live.
Sure you're all entitled to your own opinion but i think of few of you were just a little rude and could've given your opinion without insulting or offendind anyone.

I agree with several of the comments above. Of course she can't really sing, but that's beside the point (and she's not alone in that in HP land :-).
But she's always so bloody cheerful that I just have to smile.
Though the now umpteenmth rehash of the the same style song-wise tends to become a bit boring. Nevertheless my knwees couldn't stop moving :-)

I realised for the first time here how incredibly PRETTY Koharu is!
She looks really grown-up here (...well, physically, I mean. XDD). It kind of angers me that she's my age and still releases things like this, somehow. XDD;;; (Or maybe it's just the fact that I want to be a SERIOUS SINGER and artist and she's getting famous and RICH doing THIS. >__>;; WTH is up with that? XD)
The spinny, kaleidescope parts were wayyyyy cracky. They kind of scared me - too many Kohas!! DDD8 But the wink at 3:20 was gorgeous. Seriously, she's so pretty. D: Why can't I look that good when I wink? ;___;
AND I LOOOOOOVE HER OUTFIT. SO SO SO SO MUCH. SHE LOOKS LIKE A FLOWER AND IT'S SO PRETTY. DDDD8 <333333`
This PV was so bright and happy and - and - AH PANCAKES! XD <333`
I feel lame for Koharu, but I love her SO MUCH and I love this SO MUCH. <3`
It's hard to remember that the song is about pancakes when I'm watching that. XD

Oh my poor ears... *goes and listen to LOVE Machine from Momusu*... ah, that IS a real song.
I don't mind if Koharu is cute or not. I just want her to sing in a good way one day of her life. She can't ever sing live as a soloist, I've never seen that. NEVER.
I know it will sell well though. Very dissapointing.
The pancakes are adorable and delicious.
Koharu is not.

Wow that sounded terrible. Why is she so nasal when she sings solo but okay when she sings in Morning Musume? Gosh, kid, just drop the sound from your nose a little back down to your throat and you'd be better.

Couldn't finish this. Not a big Koharu fan, but I won't necessarily utilize the comments section for obligatory bashing purposes like Koharu-not-likers are wont to do, but I'll just try to be constructive instead. If she WEREN'T a seiyuu of a wildly popular girls anime, she would NOT sell. Period.
@gakisanlover: The only thing getting stale is Koharu's performance. Just more of the same old thing... how can you say criticism is getting stale when Koharu can't even improve enough to make your defense of her justified? It's pathetic on her part, but I admire your dedication.
Well, there is one thing I liked. The costume. <3 And the keyboard in the background was a nice change. But that's it, though, I couldn't get past 30 seconds even though I listened to the demo more than twice.

Not a big Koharu fan, don't like her as a "soloist", never saw her as a musume either. But for some reason, I'm starting to like her more. Not because of this PV though. It's adorable, but doesn't do more than that. The lyrics talk about pancakes (duh) and being depressed and how the pancakes can cheer you up. Koharu sells fairly well for H!P, can't they give her a PV with an actual story?
Can't really complain about her singing either, because I suppose they actually train her to make her voice sound like that (since KiraRebo is an anime targeted at kids), and thus the effect we get is a cute and catchy voice. If ya don't like that, that's another story. However, I have to say this one was OVERLY highpitched, I don't think she'll ever perform this live.
Now on the song.. I agree that it lacks a hook. I dislike most of Kirarin releases, but most of them have a catchy tune of some sort. Konnichi Pa and Hana wo pun weren't neccesarily musically amazing, they even get on my nerves, but they're catchy and get stuck in my head at random times.

No matter how hard I try, I just can't like Koharu and her songs like this make it even harder.
She has no singing talent. None. At least Sayu and KonKon can hold a note and sound decent even though they were never great. Koharu just sounds awful. From her first audition, she's always been plain bad IMO. Her voice is like a buzzsaw. It's so annoying.
Also, I really don't find her cute so she can't even play that card with me. I don't think she can dance that well, so to me she's just...blah. That's all just my opinion though.
I kinda wish they'd have done the Kirarin Revolution tie-in with another girl who could actually sing. I think one of the girls from Berryz or C-ute could have done all this solo stuff ten times better then Koharu. Ugh....
