^So did Mikitty, Nozomi etc... but they didn't get kicked out. Even Kago gets a second chance. Point is, Rio is already leaving the company.

Image. It's all about image. They probably felt this would impact the company negatively and rather than wait the 2 months felt this was the better option. Just my thought.

If Riorio's behavior was impactful on Kobushi's itself, then it would make sense to get rid of her.

Read a little more carefully.
It's not JUST that she violated the rules. It's that after that rule-breaking, the company and Fujii could not agree on standards for her behavior going forward. There's NO WAY IN HELL a company is going to employ somebody that broke the rules and won't say, "I'm sorry I won't do it again." Especially when that person is a minor, and society (and her parents) expect the company to keep track of her behavior.

Kago repeatedly broke the rules, and each time she promised them she'd stop. When they EVENTUALLY stopped believing her promises, she was fired. Fujimoto Miki broke the rules, left Morning Musume and went to O.G. land where it wasn't even a rule...

I think Kurolivier has the right idea. Fans have even mentioned that in performances lately Fujii's been phoning it in. If the problem was that Fujii was slacking off or playing hooky, that affects Kobushi's performance too, in which case it makes sense they would fire her especially after talking to her about the problem and seeing her refuse to change.

It's a job, first and foremost. You fail to show up for your job, you get fired. We'll never know what Fujii did to get canned unless she comes forward to talk about it (or some tabloid has the info) but the idea that she was blowing off rehearsals and screwing over her group mates goes with both the fan accounts claiming she's been lackluster during lives and Management's request for "improvements" (ie: in her behaviour).

Greyface, the HP rules is basically the same other as every idol company, if the benefit's of having you outgrow the issue of dealing with you, the company will cover.
Rio is leaving, if they think her behavior impact in bad way the remaining members or the public image of the group, there's not much to lose for the company to fire her.

Kurolivier: You can simply ignore what the company says and make things up if you like. I mean, that's cool. A lot of people think the "they always lie" style of cynicism is a short-cut to finding the truth by inventing it whole cloth from first principles.

Or, you can, as I've been sarcastically suggesting all this time, read what they've said and use it as a starting point for all of the rest of the wild theories, and random guessing. Your choice, because god knows I'm getting sick of holding up the part that I assigned myself.

And that's exactly what i've done on my first comment here Greyface, but you decided that it was "nonsense" and that "no way in hell" a person whose job involve public relation could be expelled from said job if she can't do it properly, compromising her comrades, her company, and friend company whom they are making a joint publicity appearance and promotion :)

So you're saying UF message of contract violation, no behavior improvement and talking with parents is incompatible with not fulfilling your obligation as a worker ?
