Reina's going to kill me if she ever gives a simple, short answer. :P
And 12th gen, seriously? You have the English-speaking member and that's what you come up with? XD

Pretty sure AAA is not an English word. I wonder if Reina knows she can write shorter answers or she just feels like she has to give a thorough explanation!

The younger members like Yoko and Momona are giving long essay type answers becoz that is what they are practicing/learning in school. Last night I saw a NHK news report on how the questions in high school entrance exams are changing to a more essay type questions. The direction the Japanese schools are taking is that they want students to think an elaborate their answers instead of giving short or 1 word answers. Also, more and more schools, triple this year compared to last year, are including English tests in their entrance exam.

That's one of the things that bother me about how they teach English in schools. They kids are all taught to say "Pardon?" if they don't understand or hear something, and it comes off as so weird and unnatural! Who actually says that?

I'm not from an English-speaking country but isn't "pardon" both French & English? Like "excuse" ; "transparent" ;"demand" etc...? ^^" Plus, isn't this his word is used in the expression "I beg your pardon" ? Maybe in every day life this is not really common, but well since this word is both French & English, there's nothing wrong with Eripon's answer~

^ I'm sure they still use "ganbatte ikimasshoi".
From what I've seen and heard in London "pardon" is still used in that part of the world lol. So maybe it's more a British English thing?
