Can't you have curry that is both sweet and hot?? Or does sweet = mild?

Sweet is basically the mild type, not spicy, they just call it sweet. These are the 3 basic "spiciness" levels of curry you can generally get, and it's pretty standard so that's why it's a normal question Japanese people might ask each other though it might sound weird from an outsider's perspective..

Japanese spice levels are no joke. At CoCo Ichi in Shabuya, I get spice level 2 (out of 10) and it's peachy. At curry shops in Los Angeles, I order spicy and it's less hot than CoCo's 2. MMmmm... Curry.

With this question, I'm sure there's a "I like my ANGERME members like I like my curry..." joke in there somewhere.

Was Takeuchi putting on a brave front when she was on the P-Sama show where they were concentrating on super spicy food?
