Miyamoto says that she has weak myopia (near-sightedness, as in she has week distance-vision). Her Rx backs this up.
I'm amazed how many of them wear contacts!

@boinsie: Thanks for the correction! I wondered about that actually, but I know basically nothing about vision diagnoses (and Rx) in English, so I'm hopeless if they go a little technical about it in Japanese. XD

I work in the eyewear trade and a myopia of only -0.75 is very low so isn't that bad

It'd actually be pretty cute if HP made a glasses unit! If there's a lot of glasses wearer they can split it into near-sighted and far-sighted lol. You usually don't see idols wear glasses, totally would support it if it ever happens.

Think mine are more like -4.75 so yeah Karin has a ways to go, but she's young. :)
In society today contacts are pretty common and sounds like idols are no exception there.
I like the idea of a glasses shuffle unit (with megane specific songs), make it happen Tsunku!
