I once wrote and wrote asking for Fan Club membership in the US. Eventually I got a message back that said, basicially, to leave them alone, they're not interested in the US. It was kind of rude.

oh, and is there really alot of female fans there? That'll be great if it's true cuz u almost don't see much female fans @ their concerts, mostly male wotas (at least that's what i heard).

Yeah, among MM fans in Taiwan, there are many female fans. The ratio is probably like 5:5, 6:4 or 7:3 female/male, I think.^^ At least, I think it's safe to say that it won't be like any concerts in JP, which you pratically only hear male fans cheering sound.^_^" It's gonna be a uniqe experience for Morning Musumes as well. XD CHEERS!

this is strange, last night i dreamt that i sent a petition all around the US for people to sign (saying that they want a concert here), and then i got it back and sent it to UFA. and they accepted! xD
and now i wake up and they're going to...!! taiwan. xD darn, looks like my dream powers didn't work correctly. maybe it's a sign though.

Glad to see they're going ahead with their goal of concerts in other Asian countries. Is this the first time they've had a concert in another country that was open to the general public (not just fanclub members)?

i guess depending on the success of the Taiwan concert, Korea, China, thailand, Malaysia and an Asia tour won't be long. And i also would love a concert in the USA as well. although, most likely it'll be Hawaii, but that's ok, i just travel to hawaii then. i know they've been to hawaii lots of time, but never an official concert, not just a FC tour. I swear if they would....

@maxemerg: America is the center of the largest media and entertainment industry in the world. It's no wonder 99% of Americans have no time for a musical act that is geared expressly toward Japanese cultural morays, not to mention it's all sung in Japanese. It’s not like Americans lack alternatives for musical entertainment. Remember the Scorpions? A band form Germany that achieved world wide acclaim. Why? Because, the Scorpion’s songs are in English. If Morning Musume sung in English, they would be much more widely known abroad. Shoot, I’ve seen Loudness live in concert in Los Angeles. They are a Japanese metal band, but most of their songs are in English. Hence, they have had some success in many countries, not just Japan. The reason H!P has no interest in the U.S. is because nothing like what they peddle has ever been successful there. There’s no precedent for it. H!P goes where the money is. And it’s in Asia, it’s really no where else. Even if MM sung entirely in english, the only demographic that might take notice of them would be little girls. Which is pretty much the polar opposite of most of MM's Japanese fanbase.

Sadly, what The Incredible He-Hulk said is very well true, imo. Morning Musume best chance to expand is in Asia, where J-pop is well known. Many asian artists in the past and also currently try to enter the American market, and they all are making songs in english in order to make it happen. Some have little or no success and the ones that are currently in the process in doing so, many say that, based on probability and stats, the percentage of them actually being successful is at most, 1%. and other than just sing in english, their style is also to match or is similar to American music. Morning Musume and H!P style, imo, is a unique style that is different much of the rest ofthe world. And, though i shouldn't be saying it since i dunno much about the music world, but their style probably isn't well accepted in America. With that said, i hope Morning Musume will blow those "thoughts" out of the water and become the most successful foreign artists in USA as well as the top Japanese (girl) group in the world. Maybe even the world most successful group, period. at least in my own world, they are. Though their musical style is may not be accepted by the general public in America, they're bound to gain some fans, you'll never know what people like. i mean, they already have american/western fans like us all around. and they may be able to break into the American market, maybe not just bcuz they're different from what American are use to, but that they're new, they're fresh, and they are just too cute/adorable to be ignored.
