I'm guessing that, since the people translating this have to do quite a bit of these, they rushed the translation. A more accurate translation for what Kanyon said was "When I'm in a quiet place, I can't help but unconsciously start humming." So yeah, definitely not quiet, lol.
While it's not necessarily a bad habit, it can get really grating depending on the song, or if you're around a person that does this a lot. Sometimes all people want is a little peace and quiet.

I have the same habit as Kana! While dancing everyone tells me and it's really annoying. :( I thought I was the only one on earth lol XD now I feel somewhat closer to her~
