How nice that she'll be graduating at the theatre~ Making it to the Dome is a big deal and it's an even bigger deal for someone to graduate there; I thought for sure they'd be sending her out with a huge, blowout show. It's sweet that her end in AKB will be back where it all started :)

Yeah that's what I think is cool about this. AKB48 finally reaches Tokyo Dome which was their goal from Day 1. And this is where Acchan comes from. I thought she would graduate there, but seeing that she is graduating the day after, from the theater - that's pretty nice.

Wasn't that her own wish, to graduate in the theatre? I have a feeling I've read something like that somewhere, but it could be just my imagination.

Does anyone remember the reason for the whole "Road to the Tokyo Dome" thing? It dates back to the original members' (pre-teams) first appearance on Music Fighter. Acchan, who was 14 at the time, couldn't decide on anything that she was interested in for her bio. When pushed by the hosts, she said she was interested in a sold-out concert in the Tokyo Dome. That's been the goal ever since.
Since the Tokyo Dome concert was her idea, I had thought she would graduate from there; but, I remembered that she also said that, no matter how famous AKB48 became, AKB48's main focus would always be the Akiabara Theater, and the concept that you can go there and meet idols up close and personal. She swore several times that the group would never drift away from that focus; so, it doesn't surprise me that she wants to graduate from there.

Even for someone like me who has always been kind of a casual fan of AKB48 this will be a very emotional graduation... I've always liked Acchan and I still do, so I'm very sad to see her go. She's the face of AKB.. I'll miss her. Let's hope to see and hear a lot more of her after her graduation!
