Wow...
I love Morning Musume but what's happening to it now?
I'm actually really sad about this next it just maybe won't be MM anymore =/
As it is after the EriLinJun grad I only came to support Sayu. But now Ai grad's too ouchies x.x
All I can say is this is one giant kick up the arse big time >x<

It's so sad. I hope that the last 9 months will be a memory full of Ai's hardwork in shaping the current Momusu. Does this mean the next leader is gonna be Gaki?
Than this would bring a new record holder for being the longest member in Momusu. this is Reina chance to become a sub-leader.

Bad to hear but I felt that it'd happen. She's already in MoMusu for 10 years now, longer than anybody else (except Risa, but I don't think she'll stay much longer than Ai) and right now MoMusu's coming back to it's origins... Graduations and Auditions.

I knew it.
I'm really looking forward to her solo career, although it's gonna be so hard to see her go. She has given Momusu an unique sound over the years and has always impressed me with her singing abilities.

But this also means that Gaki-san finally gets her chance to take on the leader position, something she deserves more than anyone.

So I'm kinda ambivalent towards this news. Sad, but excited at the same time.

The time which i was afraid of has come. I hope that she will chase her dreams. It's both sad and happy news. Why sad i hope it's clear. Happy because she will be free.

I'm thankful I haven't seen any suicide notes.

I really wasn't expecting this to be announced so soon after EJL grad. We all knew it was coming but couldn't we have at least a month between the 2? It seems now we'll keep mourning or anticipating the next grad.

Ruined my morning, but nonetheless I think I'm Happy.

I hope she does well in the future, but Momusu will now seem like a bunch of new faces...what is Tsunku trying to do?

Shocked that it was announced two weeks after JunLin and Eri's graduation. But not surprised, either. I mean, Ai and Risa have been in Morning Musume for TEN YEARS, that's a very long time for an idol group. Truthfully, I think Ai's talent were being wasted in Morning Musume, so I'm happy she gets to graduate now so she can focus on theatre and live performances like she's always wanted to do.

I just hope Tsunku doesn't pull a Mako/Yossie/KonKon etc and just ignores her after she graduates from H!P. That would really suck.

Nonetheless, I think Risa will make an amazing leader of Morning Musume and H!P and Sayumi will be a great subleader. Sayumi adores Morning Musume and I think she'll do MoMusu justice along with Risa once Ai leaves.

Just like Addicted_Azn's display pic, I'll give Ai-chan the biggest salute on her dedication and passion for the group and the entire hello project. She truly carried her responsibilities well and contributed alot.

Do you agree guys?

If after all is said and done, after her graduation, i can only describe her in one word:

Legendary

XD

Wow - expected... but not so soon... and I never thought I'd feel so affected by just the announcement of a member's graduation.
I'm sad, as I'm worried about my future interest in MM, but very pleased as I look forward with great anticipation to everything she decides to do in the future.

She already is legendary. She provided something very special to the group. It will be hard listening to those songs without her vocals in them, but I'm looking forward to what's next for her. She already gave Morning Musume the last 10 years of her life. It's time to move on. I'm looking forward to a lot more Aichan this year. And when the graduation time comes I will cry, but until then.. let's be happy for her.

It was obviously going to come sooner or later but this is way TOO soon!
But at least my favourite member Niigaki will become leader :) that's right about the only positive thing about this graduation...

Don't be so melodramatic everyone, lol. I'm a huuuge ai fan but she can't stay in the group forever. She was a great leader and is stepping aside from her beloved morning musume to let new members take the reigns. Ganbatte kudasai, Ai-chan :)

It'll be weird seeing Gaki but no Ai-chan there....the grad concert may be too painful to watch ;-;
Although I'm sad I can't say I'm shocked....although I really didn't think it would be so soon....
I will miss Ai-chan so much, but I hope she pursues a successful solo career that will give her the stardom she deserves <3

The site just finished loading and BAM - right into my face: "Ai to graduate MM". I just burst into tears straight away, as if someone had just told me my precious pet died...

I'm really, really, really happy for her, because we all know how talented she is, and that needs to be able to make more use of her amazing vocal and acting skills. But on the other hand I'm so sad, because she's...she's AI-CHAN. Everybody - whether it be her fellow MM or H!P members, the wota or us H!O members/fans - LOVES Ai-chan. Ai-chan is the face of MM :( Ai-chaaan~ :( Ai-channnnn...

This is so sad, but great at the same time...

It. Happened.
It happened?????
I was starting to think Aichan would be in forever!
She has been an important part of Momusu for so long, yet her graduation is telling me that Momusu are finally moving on.
Maybe the 10th gen audition will be announced at her grad?
Unlike bxdamaster, I'm starting to finally see hope in Momusu.

Not a huge shock. Actually, I'll be a little surprised if Risa, Reina and Sayumi are still in the group this time next year. They are at an age where the silly rules involved with being an idol have got to be hard to live with. How about Tsunku creating a non-idol group called Afternoon Musume made up of MM graduates?

I.. don't want to believe it..
I still have to get used to Eri, Jun and Lin's graduation.. and now are they pulling Ai away from us..

Now this happend.. I'm expecting Risa to graduate in 2012.. she's as long in there as Ai... so that would mean an Reina/Sayu leadership.. sounds weird..

@Ada xD:

You complaining about messy year. And what i must say about because my birthday is tommorow? Maybe it's accidental signal to me from Ai "It's time to contemplate Your fate"

@lazyパンダ:

I hope Ai WILL BE legand. Because i'm not hiding that i'm hoping that graduation will be just begin of her big career. Because as it was said in some game "the legend will never die".

@Feralia87: Aichan was not fired. She's simply graduating. I take it as an insult that you'd say she was fired after all her hard work for the group. She's moving on, and she's doing it in a very honorable way.

This girl has to continue singing! She should look for another agency! I don't want to see her doing activities like most of the graduated members do. If she'll get roles in musicals maybe she'll be satisfied. Maybe it's not to late for Takarazuka? Or Avex. She deserves solo career as an artist. Not as an idol.

Wow Tsunku, thanks for putting ideas in her head =.=
Well it was gonna happen sooner or later. Just hope they manage to get the 9th generation settled in and properly trained. It's hard to imagine anyone taking her place now, but they'll pull through. It's Morning Musume afterall, and they've gone through a lot of graduations.

@theonlyfiona

+1

Those are my thoughts exactly. As much as I adore Gaki-san and has longed to see her in the position that truly deserves, say goodbye to Aichan from Morning Musume is incredibly sad.
Remaining 9 months of agony to give birth to something bitter that doesn't please anyone.
Morning Musume , for me at least, was Gorokkies (mainly K4 and especially TakaGaki). Very very sad.

But Gaki-san is a capable person, always has shown it.
Gaki-san loves Morning Musume more than any past, present or future member, there's no doubt about it, and whoever says otherwise... just lies.
Let's wait for what she can do before left MM for dead. Do your best as well, Sayu!

And, OMG, the farewell speech from Gaki-san to Aichan is going to be simply anthological (if Gaki-san is able to utter a word...).

I wish you the best, Tetekkette :)

I never expected these news to come so soon.
While I am glad that it isn't a double graduation; I am still heartbroken because Takahashi Ai means so much to the group as a whole.

But after her graduation I will wish her the best of luck, and I will support her the fullest in an upcoming career.

When I saw this on the homepage, my heart dropped to my stomach.

I'm surprised how much I feel this is effecting me, considering I'm a pretty brand-new Morning Musume fan, and Ai isn't my favorite member or anything like that...
But, when you think "Morning Musume", I think you sort of think of her. She is so gorgeous, and a great idol. She has an amazing voice, possibly the best Hello!Project has had! (Although this is arguable depending on your preference and such.) I realized reading this that I really do instantly think of her when Morning Musume is mentioned, and that I expected myself to become a big fan of her in time. Now I feel like I don't have that time. I will become a huge fan, just in time to watch her go. :(

I've heard people talk about this, and I know she has been in the group a while, but somehow I just didn't think it would happen to soon. I mean, we all hear how many lines she gets in the song, and how many fans she has. Somehow, I felt Morning Musume wouldn't last well without her...
Now hearing this news, I'm still a bit worried about this. However, I think this was a good time to do it, considering who made it in the 9th Generation auditions. We have a fantastic dancer with singing potential, and a very pretty egg who has already been trained and can only go up. All the girls, really, were good choices, so I guess if this had to happen, at least it was after these girls can be trained by Ai and the others, and Morning Musume can still be amazing!

Crap, this is becoming the size of a blog entry. xD I really have a lot to say about this...I better blog it soon. ^^;
Anyway, I realize I will really miss Ai a lot, and plan to watch her more than ever these next 9 months, and give her all the support I can. Even when she leaves, I plan to support her in whatever she does. :)
