11th Generation Audtion Results One New Member! |

Oda Sakura, 13 years old, from Kanagawa-ken will join Morning Musume as the lone member of the 11th generation (in the style of Goto Maki & Kusumi Koharu). She will officially enter the group during the New Year's concert in a few months
Audition watchers may remember her from when she also tried out in the S/Mileage audition. She was not added to S/Mileage, not for lack of ability or personality, but because Tsunku thought it would be kind of a waste, and entering Morning Musume alone would put the kind of pressure on her that will really make her shine. He also commented that she has a vivid personality and funny without really trying.
**UPDATE/EDIT: To help clear up a misunderstanding (poor writing on my part) Tsunku did not think that Oda would be wasted in S/mileage, he thought it would be a missed opportunity for her to move out of the Eggs in the low-fanfare, low-publicity, high-safety fashion that the new members of S/mileage were added. Sorry for any misunderstanding I created, please don't hate Tsunku, it's my fault**
She aims to sing like Takahashi Ai and dance like Nakajima Saki.
