It's hilarious how blatantly "biased" shows like Girls Planet 999 are. The Chinese and Japanese girls will get torn to pieces for being "bad" but when one of the Korean girls performs bad (one particularly stood out to be for being a horrible singer) the judges still have nothing but praise for them

The game "Idol Manager" has finally release on Steam. It might be region locked (Germany, China) but a friend can gift it to you or you buy it on itchio and get a Steam key too. It's fun! I've been waiting for such a game for a long time.

I'm getting so annoyed by many of the groups I follow using face shields instead of medical masks during talk or photo events. I get that they don't want to completely cover the face of the idol, but they might just as well use no masks at all with how pointless those shields are. And it's not like the group members don't rehearse and perform together without masks anyways...

Yeah exactly they could go full capitalism on it and produce masks as merch for their group (BABYMETAL actually did that). What baffles me the most is that this is happening in Japan, a country that had legitimized the use of masks in daily situations for god knows how long.

It's really depressing when, after a few years, you're looking up the names of idols from small disbanded groups and they never appeared again. A tiny percentage might have ended up elsewhere in the business or at least have a personal Twitter or Instagram. But in most cases they are just gone and nowhere to be found. Makes me sad.

At some point these girls were so aspiring and brought happiness to so many people. They worked hard, they grew and gained fans. Now it's like they never even existed. It's all gone and I can feel memories fade as well. Maybe I'm just selfishly nostalgic or overly attached. But for me, it makes me get philosophical about transience.

This is why messages coming from idol songs such as 1oku 3zenman Sou Diet Oukoku are kinda important. But back in the day the song got written off as "a song about diets or something", and even Harowota didn't seem to understand it and to this day still leave comments saying "after all thin Zukki is the best or thin Maasa is the best". I'm not trying to make this to be about H!P but one of the reasons I really love that song is because an idol producer addressed...

that side of Japanese society. I feel so sad for Cuca, I really enjoyed her idol cover years so it's even sadder to see her go through this. Didn't this happen with MomoClo's Takagi Reni many years ago too? With that public weighing thing they made. It's just heartbreaking.

Altough it's good for the group, I think this way of leaving is so inappropiate, I mean at least some graduation stage. And now they have to re-announce the senbatsu for the 9th single.

Tfw you send your over 10 years worth of idol merch collection to a friend in Japan for him to sell it because you need the money and then DHL manages to lose the package which on top of all cost you 100 bucks shipping fee too...
