In all seriousness, management's going for the main Sakamichi group and the newly created, very very successful younger sister group. I don't get too much Keyaki news, but I know Neru graduated recently. Is there anyone who is sick or on hiatus that would normally be in Senbatsu or something, and management is waiting on them?

No AKB SSK this year is a shock... but considering continuous cancellations of 48 related shows after so many sponsors pulled out due to the Maho incident.. i'm not that surprised.. just sad :c

Hey guys lol so you know how I asked what you guys would like to see more of on the news feed board? I figured I will start to release weekly round ups of small news like members appearing on a music show, interviews, magazine features or birthdays, and put more important announcements as their own post (like graduations, album releases etc). I'll start this from next year, in an attempt to keep the forums a little more alive lol, but help would be much appreciated ^^

um hi guys! o/ i'm currently trying to "revive" the news feed to have actual news, and so far i've only been posting 'official' news like new members or releases announcements, but i wanted to know if you guys would like to see other things like "XX will appear on this show!" or "XX and XX featured in this magazine!" or even little happy birthday messages to current h!p members on that day? your thoughts would be much appreciated!

@Ich, i'm gonna hold off in promoting things like the end of year polls since it's not really H!P news, but just us promoting things on the forum lol.. but if a mod gives the go ahead i will ^^;

How many girls do they have right now that are actually 'famous'. It seems like even the general consensus of fans is that opportunities for them are dwindling.

They have many girls with potential but apart from sayanee the only "famous" girls are Miru, Akarin, and arguably Saepii. Everyone else is pretty much in the waiting zone for that big push into national relevance.

can anyone recommend me some cool interactive app for learning kanji? i have a lot of apps for learning in general but they mostly focus on words itself or hiragana, all the kanji ones i know are kinda scary LOOOL

I used Anki for a long time. I'm not sure how customizable the mobile app is, but I used it for both recognition and recall with kun'yomi and on'yomi readings, meaning, and stroke order. If you attempt too much at once or skip days, it can get overwhelming, but it is effective. If you're comfortable with kana, it's especially worthwhile to find sentence decks even if you don't know the kanji yet.

I am using the app "imiwa?" for it. Also the website & app Wanikani but only the girst three levels are for free. As I had two semesters of Japanese language classes at university I also still use my learning material (the "Genki" series)

I can see a double grad coming next year, considering how many girls are at the same age (or maybe one in spring and one in fall). Then a new, smaller generation - 2 or 3 people. That'd be nice.

The group is already rather big. With the exception of someone like Rihope or Oda who can get pushed in music from the get-go, I'd rather they get some time to cement Maria / Chisaki as aces before they add more.

sakura's name is the only MM member i can read because my understanding of kanji is still horrid lol

back then I learned Iikubo Haruna's name quickly because the "Ii" kanji is the same in Iida Kaori's name. Apart from that her "Haru" kanji means (the season) spring so I found it easy to remember. It was similar for Kaedii, her "Ka" in "Kaga" is the same in Kago Ai's name

oh yeah i can definitely recognize their names in kanji, i just can't read it lool, i only know it by memory, but if i had to tell you the exact kanji i couldn't lol
give me a hiragana name and i'm all over it lolol

you know what this new morning musume era should be called? MEDLEY ERA??? All the medleys they've done since 2017 have been phenomenal. Blows so many of my favorites out of the water. medley era it is!!
