Hitomi Saito: sexy and beautiful If you get the chance, you should take a look at the moon. Tomorrow night, it is supposed to look particularly big, i.e., a supermoon. Today, I will address Hitomi Saito. She was born Oct. 31, 1981, in Niigata Prefecture.

She is the former leader of the Hello! Project group Melon Kinenbi. They were active from 2000 to 2010, when they disbanded. They had a large number of singles. The most memorable one for me is “This is Unmei,” or “This is Fate.” I have watched the videos of this song many times, and it seems like it was great when they performed it live. They got a great reaction from the crowd.

Hitomi Saito was also in some shuffle groups. My favorite shuffle group that she was in was Happy 7, who recorded “Shiawase Beam! Suki Suki Beam!” All of the girls in the PV for this song looked very cute and did a nice dance. I have also seen videos of Hitomi Saito doing a solo version of “Shiawase Beam! Suki Suki Beam!” live. She gave a very sexy performance, quite different from the song’s PV.

After Melon Kinenbi disbanded in 2010, she got married to a comedian. I saw some photos of the groom, and it seems like she could have done better than him. He was quite funny looking, with bleach-blonde hair and a head shaped like a basketball. Anyway, the marriage ended in divorce after just 14 months. According to Hello! Project Wikia, she got married again. On Dec. 29, 2015, she married her boyfriend of two years. Hitomi Saito currently works as a radio personality for FM-Niigata. She also occasionally works as an MC for live events.

It was her birthday a couple of weeks ago. I sent her a Tweet, wishing her a happy birthday, and asking her to come to Los Angeles. She responded, “Thank you very much! English (≧∇≦) I want to go Los Angeles, ~ (laughs)” (based on Twitter’s translation function). By noticing me and taking the time to respond, she won me as a fan forever! Plus, I think she is beautiful and sexy, and I would love to meet her.

I love her voice the most out of the Melon Kinenbi members! I really wish she would have done some solo music like Ohtani Masae and Shibata Ayumi did. I wonder why she and Megumi Murata decided not to do any solo music? Surely some fans would have shown some interest, especially the devoted fans in other countries.

Thanks for your comment and your previous comment. That's a good question regarding why Hitomi and Megumi didn't do any solo music. It seems like in Japan, artist need backing in order to get attention/release music. Case in point, Rina Takenaka, a.k.a. Rinana, ex-Hinoi Team. She is trying to make it as a singer songwriter. She is putting tremendous effort into it, often playing in the streets of Kobe. She only occasionally has paid gigs.
