Career updates you probably don't care about
Asuka Hinoi Hinoi Team Hikaru Koyama School Girls Gestation Mysterious Transfer Student
The first person of interest is Asuka Hinoi . It seemed like Asuka’s career had hit a low point in 2009. She basically had nothing going on. She stuck with it, though, and her career is starting to come back. Nothing that big, mind you. But she is getting a few roles. She appeared in an episode of the Japanese drama “Aibo” in 2013. She acted in another one hour TV drama in 2013 called “School Girl’s Gestation.” Earlier this year, she appeared in an episode of another J-drama, “The Mysterious Transfer Student.” She is a member of a theater group called Mushoku Kukan. So, I think things are starting to look up for Asuka Hinoi. The other day, I found a Japanese Wikipedia entry for her. It had a couple more TV appearances listed for her for 2014. I hope she gets some more roles in TV and/or films. There must be some fans left over from Hinoi Team and her solo music career. A producer should cast her for a substantial role to tap into that fanbase.
Hikaru Koyama is the other person I’d like to cover in this post. Hikaru was another member of Hinoi Team. She was Asuka’s sidekick . . . the only other member who got to sing solo lines. She basically gave up her chance at a good education to participate in Hinoi Team. So, when they lost their record contract, I was kind of worried about her. That’s why I was pleased to find out that she has revived her modelling career. She was in the first graduating class of the Kansai Collection Models. She started a blog for this in 2012, and has been updating it regularly ever since, including as recently at 3/17/14. Her hair is light brown now, and she looks really pretty.
I was going to put something in this post about aMI TOKITO, but I forgot. I guess I'll have to include that in a future post.
