Morning Musume 'Pachislot' In Action |

Some of you may remember that a Morning Musume Pachislot machine (think pachinko crossed with a slot machine) was announced back in April, 2007. The game has just been released now, and an official webpage for that game is up, including video of the girls in battle-action! |

This pachislot, titled "Morning Musume", was announced on April 25th, 2007. There was even an English press release back then (PDF link) that says the following:

Fields Corporation (Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hidetoshi
Yamamoto) announces the nationwide release of the new Bisty Co., Ltd.’s pachislot machine “Morning Musume.”
The characters featured in the new machine are former members of the Japanese pop group Morning Musume, who are now participating actively in diverse fields after having left the group. Morning Musume has been familiar with people of different generations as a pop group since its formation in 1997. Its members are active not only in the field of music, but also as movie actresses and celebrities apearing on TV variety programs.
The new machine is the first Bisty pachislot machine to be equipped with the “gigantic shutter” which is so large that it takes up the 10-inch LCD. In the story for the new machine, special Morning Musume members who have come together to mark the group’s 10th anniversary strive to protect the peace of the universe, with their actions depicted through the combination of the LCD and the gigantic shutter. Players can also fully enjoy promo videos of hit Morning Musume songs and original video clips only available on the machine.
The new machine opens up the door to a new era in enjoyment, not only for pachislot enthusiasts but a wide range of pop music fans.
The “Morning Musume” pachislot machine is scheduled for delivery in late June
2007 to pachinko halls throughout Japan.

As you can see, the lineup for this Morning Musume is quite different than the current group. It contains all the "golden era" Musume that were currently in H!P at the time the game was made, with the exceptions of Yasuda Kei and Iida Kaori.
Today, the following web page went up showing various info about the game, including video of some of the action sequences. They definitely got the nostalgic "Renai Revolution 21"-era feeling right.
