H!P's TV show "Yorosen!" to end this Spring
  Hello!Project Written by epifanes & Kuno , updated: 18:30, 3-Feb 2009

SSM is a production company that has produced numerous Hello!Project TV shows since their debut, beginning with the very first, ASAYAN. Since then, they've done all the late-night shows like Futarigoto, Sexy Onna Juku, Dokyu!, Uta Doki, Beri Kyuu, and now, Yorosen!. They also produced the DVD Magazines until around 2006.

Now, rumor has it (and this is strictly a rumor) that Up-Front ended their contract with SSM due to the "Hitler incident" on Yorosen! a couple months back (read about that here). Another possibility is that SSM just decided to move on. It's also rumored that Up-Front has already hired another production company to start work on a new show.

In any case, the head producer for SSM, Morozumi Makoto, revealed on his blog today that Yorosen! would be ending, and so might their relationship with Hello!Project:

It was decided that Yorosen! will end this spring, and we are considering ending production of H!P-related shows, which we have worked on since ASAYAN, for 11 years now.

Thank you very much for your support throughout the years.

As for my personal opinion, all these years I've been trying to materialize the wishes and feelings of H!P fans, which involved a lot of negotiating and fighting, but as it turns out, I didn't have enough energy, and sadly, many of these intentions ended half-done.

But on the other hand, many Hello!Pro members told us directly that they would like to work on more shows and DVDs with our team. There have also been many fans that have been cheering for us.

That's what I'm proud of.

It was hard, but I'm glad I've been doing it.

We all hope that new things can lead to the creation of new legends.

I'm looking forward to it, and would like to pass along that dream.

"Long live Hello!Pro!!"

...is what I would like to say, but there are still two months of editing ahead of us.

H!P members, fans, I hope we will meet again somewhere!
