----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Five rotating host who aims at the twinkling stars. The five stars delivering talks and music, this is FIVE STARS.
Your host for Wednesday is Tanaka Reina from Morning Musume.
Listeners of InterFM, Good evening!

Um, Morning Musume's new single, that will be on sale February 18th, Nai Chau Kamo's PV was filmed recently. We haven't seen the finished product ourselves yet. Those who have seen it, after seeing us in the Nai Chau Kamo PV, will want feel like they want to protect us. The reason is, this time, we challenged crying. Well, I want to say, it's like tears that will turn us into actresses, but those tears are really....this is the secret here, it's a secret but I'm saying it now. That is....eye drops. Even though it's eye drops, it was still a big deal. Some of the members wear contact lens, so the eye drops are easily adsorbed. I don't wear contact lens, but it's hard to keep it in the eyes and had to redo it many times. It made my eye lashes come back down after spending so much time curling them up. It was worth it to show the lonely looking faces that day. And then, during the image scene (story scene), looking at the rain from the ceiling (roof?), the shower was turned on to act out the sad scene. And we did another crying scene for that. This is probably the first time I cried in a PV. However, it's not the first time I got wet for one, we had to dance on water for Shabondama before. When I was watching the others do it, I thought to myself, "That looks so sad." Those who watches this PV will be dragged into it, I believe. For the dancing scene, to sum it up in one word, it's "cool". The outfit is so stylish. Like when I was wearing that outfit, it feels like the female version of DAIGO-san. Like a rocker! Those who came to watch the New Year's concert have already seen it, the outfit is leather with chains, so it's quite heavy. It feels like dancing while holding a baby. I'm not exaggerating, it feels like it weights 5kgs. As with any other filming with different kind of outfits, this time you can see a different side of Morning Musume, finishing off with different kinds of expressions. I'm looking forward to seeing the finish product. I hope everyone will be looking foward to it as well! So this is FIVE STARS Wednesday with Tanaka Reina. Tonight we'll also go over listener's mail, do FIVE STARS talk and have music, please be looking forward to it. Today we'll start off with this song, I just mentioned about its PV. Releasing on February 18th, Morning Musume's first single of 2009, Nai Chau Kamo.

[Morning Musume - Nai Chau Kamo]

You are listening to FIVE STARS Wednesday with Tanaka Reina. Tonight we will also look at all the mail everyone have sent in.

First one is from Yuyu-san, "Happy New Year! What did you do to start of the new year?"

Thank you for the mail. Um, this year, I went to do a Hatsumode (first shrine visit of New Year) for the first time in my life. Oh man, it was so fun, makes me happy just thinking back about it. Why is it so fun, cause you can hand pick your own Omikuji, and I got a dai-kichi (Great blessing)~ I'm going to work extra hard this year to keep the luck coming. When I got the dai-kichi, I was so happy that I yelled out, "YAY! Dai-kichi!" And then the place was filled with Yatai (food stalls) side by side. I really like yatais, I ate so much! Uh oh~ First...there was Baby Castella (Baby sponge cake), so I ate that. Then there were like chicken thighs, cartilage, and pork tongue...that I bought. My number one favorite has to be the Jaga butter (Potato with butter). The potato is so small. There's like 7 in a pack. You put the butter in yourself, not just butter, butter and salt and kimchi and mentai-mayo...mentai-mayonnaise (walleye pollack roe mayonnaise). I put on so much, I was so satisfied. And then I ate Choco-banana (Chocolate coated banana on a stick), and a big plate of Yakisoba, and then Osaka-yaki. I was on a roll, eating. It's so good~ I love Yatai~ I love going to festivals. Like I just mentioned, I got the dai-kichi there. I'm going to work hard this year, in keeping with the good luck.

Let's go to the next one, it's from Sarubadoru-san, "Reina-chan, good evening! I'm a big Italian fan of Reina who's studying Japanese right now and there was something I wanted to ask you." Hehe~ (Reina can't control herself from giggling at the improper tense usage in the sentence.) "Right now, there are lots of overseas Momusu fans, in America and Europe. What does Reina-chan think about this? If possible, would you want to hold a concert in Europe?"

It must of been a big struggle typing this out in Japanese, thank you~ Um, I want to go to Europe! The others mock me about this, I'm trying really hard to learn it now...um, I don't really have a good grasp of the places in Europe (Laughs) But, I've always thought it sounds cool. Wouldn't it sound cool, like, "Morning Musume going to Europe for a concert." Cool isn't it! This would sound so nice if it was on the news or something. And I want to do a lot of shopping there. And I'm curious about the hotels too. I've probably mentioned this on the show before, I love hotels. The hotels in Europe must be so pretty. If there's ever a chance, it'll be great if Morning Musume can go to Europe.

The next mail is from Yama-san, "I've bought Alo! Hello 3 (DVD), which I have waited for a long time!" Thank you very much. "The cake at the end was very cute. So if Reina-chan were to make cakes for the other Morning Musume members, what kind of cake would you make for each of them? Please let me know."

First, the first one that comes to mind is, Ai-chan. Ai-chan, she really likes Matcha (a kind of green tea), so classy. So Matcha cake! I'll make her matcha cake. And then...Eri. Maybe cakes doesn't really go well with Eri, but I could try something new for her. Umeboshi (Dried plum) cake. That's kinda weird. So I would make Umeboshi cake for her. For Koharu, she said she likes white chocolate and cookie. So I would use a lot of white chocolate and cookie to make her a cake! Then, Aika always says she likes tarts, so a strawberry tart for her. For Sayu...Sayu and I share a lot of favorites~ Always, during one of the member's birthday, our manager and the rest of the members would sing Happy Birthday to the birthday person. As everyone is pecking away at the cake, Sayu would always say, "There are these fruits here, but it's good with just the whipped cream and sponge cake." It's the same thing every time. So for Sayu, a cake with just whipped cream and sponge, no fruits at all~ It might look too plain, but she'd love it, I have confident she will. And then, Gaki-san! The first thing that comes to mind for her is Mont Blanc (A chestnut and cream dessert), so a Mont Blanc. For LinLin.....um, Cheese cake....somehow. (Laughs) And then, for JunJun...there's something for JunJun, Banana~ The first thing that comes to mind for JunJun is banana, but listen to this for a second. Even JunJun have said this before. Sayu has reasons to believe that even JunJun says she eats a lot of bananas, but does she really eat it that often, so it's suspicious. And then, recently, when JunJun was asked by everyone if she's just making things up with her mouth again, she replied, "I ate it in the morning already!" So I jokingly said to her, "We don't know if you ate it in the morning or not, so you gotta eat it in front of us for it to count~" So if everyone ever have a chance to meet JunJun, ask her jokingly, "You don't really eat bananas, do you?" (Laughs)

Next letter is from, radio name, Macho Lion-san, "Happy New Year! Getting right to the point, Reina-chan, please tell us your ambition for 2009. This is the great year that you will be turning 20 years old, I hope you will have a even better year than 2008. Best regards to you this year."

Best regards to you as well~ So yeah....for 2009, to me, I want Morning Musume to sing bright and cheerful songs. Why, you ask, it's probably from a talk very long ago. It's about the Disneyland filming talk. That was seen during the filming, after such a long time. So the laughter back then came from the heart, it was really fun being with Morning Musume. When I saw Morning Musume acting like that, it made me think how great Morning Musume is, seeing everyone's smile. Lately, Morning Musume have been doing sad, sorrow, and cool songs. You don't see much of the happy Morning Musume. So I was thinking we can do some cover of songs from Disney or something... I'm whispering here. (Laughs) So for 2009, for me it'd be for Morning Musume to show a brighter and more cheerful side. So it's like this. I'll be looking forward to more mail from everyone. Please mail to me, whether it is song request or you just want to talk. The email address is five-reina@interfm.jp. Starting this week, there's a slight change to the email address, please take note of it. I'll say it again, it's five-reina@interfm.jp. Here is a song request from Shin-san, Esora by Mr.Children.

[Mr.Children - Esora]

[Matsuura Aya - Omoi Afurete]

That was from FIVE STARS Monday's host, Matsuura Aya-san's new album, that's going to be release on January 21th, the title track, Omoi Afurete.

You are listening to FIVE STARS Wednesday with Tanaka Reina. Next it's the "MY FIVE STARS" segment where each of the FIVE STARS host gives a five star rating to everything and anything. Um lately, I'm into Kaiten-Sushi~ Saying I'm into it, well, I've only been to it like two times. There are lots of different sushi that goes around. Like meatball, and there's like tuna with yam, and instead of normal sauce, sweet sauce eel with crab. They're so yummy~ By the way, I just went yesterday. (Laughs) These don't seems to be served at Sushi house that doesn't have the conveyor belt, a lot of things like parfait and cakes gets rotated around too, they're really tasty. It's so fun and tasty. The desert I recommend is called Daigaku Imo (University Taro). They even have Karaage! It's really fun! After the meal, even just looking at the sushi going around makes me happy. Before, when I was still living in Fukuoka, I've went with mom to kaiten-sushi before. There, each seat had its own monitor screen, and the menu is on that monitor, you can just select on the screen what you want to eat and it'll be delivered to you on the belt. Back then, I was how old, like in the lower grades of elementary school. I don't remember, but it was during elementary school. It was really fun watching the sushi come after selecting it from the screen. Before I could put a lot of it in my mouth, Mom got really dizzy looking at the sushi going around, "Oh no, I don't feel so well, let's go home." And then we went home. After that, we didn't go for kaiten-sushi again and we moved to Tokyo. And I accepted the fact that we couldn't eat it anymore. I thought Tokyo is not a place where you can find sushi like that. But now that I've found this restaurant, I'm thinking if should I go there once a week. (Laughs) I have a lot of favorites from that place, but Crab salad has to be the best. However, their Engawa (The muscle that controls the fin on halibut) taste good too. And there are also lots of Cha-shu with green onion. There are still many kinds I haven't try yet. My goal is to conquer all the different dishes they have. (Laughs) Therefore, today I give Kaiten-Sushi, FIVE STARS.

[Morning Musume - Koi no Dial 6700]
