Actually it's not that hard for them to find decent singers. If you look back at past auditions when H!P used to show all the applicants, there were many decent singers both natural and those who have been taking lessons but they never picked them, they always seemed to pick the girls that looked good over those that could carry a decent tune (although some of the ones who couldn't sing turned out to be some of the best singers years later -Masaki-). Look at Kamikokuryou Moe, she was turned down for 12th gen, but picked up for Angerme 4th gen. She's a decent singer and was turned away for Ogata and Makino. I think the only reason why management chose her for Angerme was because Fukuda was leaving and they knew that Tamura was about to announce her graduation which would leave the group with only Murota and Takeuchi (Nakanishi is good in short bursts. She's improved loads but she still has issues and I'm not including Katsuta as she's boring both to look at and listen to imo) as the decent singers.

I feel that because H!P kept turning away the decent singers in favour for the "project" girls, those girls have moved on to companies that focus on the talent first and have decided not to audition for H!P. Which leaves girls that either are fan girls of MM or are trying to become idols via any channel. It's H!P's fault for choosing the projects and looks over the singers.

As much as everyone wants a variety show on TV, if UF can't get/find the sponsors for it then no TV station will take it on. The only reason why TGL is still going is because all the stores that they feature each episode are sponsoring them.

I agree that UF need to have a show where the girls can show off their personalities but at the moment they seem content with showing off the girls talent and how hard they rehears and perform.

Really and truly, UF need to allow the girls to do solo activities again like how it was in the golden era. It's only a handful of girls are getting the opportunity to do things outside of their groups. I'm not saying for them to turn into AKB but the fact that their girls are allowed to do solo stuff is partly why they have more girls on TV/in magazines then H!P does.
