I kinda feel like the members other than Miyabi would look better in a different style...they looked better in the post audition pics. :\ Anyway, I hope their style of music is different from what's been coming out of H!P these days.

Only purchases of CDs sent overseas don't count on Oricon. The total amount of CD shipments definitely varies from the numbers reported on the charts.

Listening to the song itself is kind of a letdown due how much of a mess it is, but if we think about it objectively, this is the type of song H!P, and mostly MM are known for. The lyrics to Love Machine, Happy Summer Wedding, etc were really strange at the time and yet they still became wildly popular. While those songs were a bit of a risk lyrically, this song (and a few other recent formation dance singles) are more of a risk in terms of the arrangement and composition. That's what could make this song interesting and unexpected to non-fans.
I think if they play their cards right, performances to this song could be pretty neat. If not..at least there are two other a-sides.

I don't think this decision has anything to do with popularity. In the Japanese music industry Berryz have never been super popular or relevant, but throughout their run they had stable sales and successful tie ins that couldn't be attained by the majority of the groups on in the market. They even have enough fans to fill up Budokan, various smaller venues around the world, and even support them for ten years, which again, is something that's very rarely accomplished by idols. Maybe they never reached the top but overall as a group they did a pretty damn good job.
It really sucks to hear this and I didn't want this time to come, but if it's what they've collectively wanted for a year+ then it's time to let them stretch out a bit and broaden their life experiences and achieve other things they couldn't do with this kind of job. Hopefully as fans we'll still get various updates from the members even if it means won't stand on stage together anymore.
