I was literally at the phone store paying my bill and this was playing on the news on their big scream TV the whole time I was there.. Sucks when there’s finally Morning Musume news it’s got to be something like this.

I'm not angry about this I just... don't understand. Juice=Juice is literally the most random group to add her to. Obviously an easy to join group would have been MM since they add people all the time (they could have even said she was 14th gen with Chichan and had it just been split timing like with Mitsui/JunJun and LinLin). The fact that she's known for dancing would make Angerme an easy to understand choice. Or you know the 2 brand knew groups... particularly Reina's group which is bound to have a big dance presence.

 

Maybe they don't want Manaka to outshine any of the new girls that would have been added but Reina, Momohime, and Kurumi already have plenty of fans so could therefore do the same.

 

Like is someone (or multiple someones) leaving J=J? This just seems random. Like really random. Granted I love Manakan and I love J=J so not necessarily angry. But yeah, don't really get it. I don't know. Maybe they just thought that J=J's presence increased so much from adding 2 members that they just want to keep going.

Kikka looked and sounded wonderful yesterday at Viva la Pop. I was very happy to be able to bring out my Kikka towel again. I watched her sound check and performance and she was flawless.

I did her handshake event and it went really well despite my terrible Japanese. She asked where I was from and I told her USA but that I’ve been in Japan for 3 years. It got more relaxed after that and she scolded me and asked why it’d taken me so long to come see her. I told her it wasn’t my first time seeing her but she said it wasn’t enough and to go to her shows more. Then I told her that my friend is also a big fan of hers and I told her about how when we were in college we used to listen and dance to Konna atashi everyday which made her happy.

I definitely want to go to her concert. It’s my goal to do all of team makenki but their shows are always inconveniently times

Up Up was so much fun at a Viva la Pop! I only ever get to see them at festivals since their concerts somehow seem to always be when I’m working... They were crazy energetic as usual and it was fun to kind of see people who weren’t used to Up Up and their fans get into it as well.

I did the handshake event but managed to have a long talk with Azusa outside of the event. I was at the goods table before the handshake and I wanted to know about the concert tickets because I’m determined to go to a concert but the person who was actually selling things was busy with someone else. Up Up was standing there waiting for the handshake to start and so Azusa just leaned over and started going through all the tickets with me. I was having a hard time figuring out what would be good with work so we just spent a good while going through all the venues. I finally said I’d have to figure out which one would be the easiest to get to from work (what’s with the Friday concerts!) and she was like “yeah work is important. Can’t wait for you to come though!)

She’s always so nice and talks to me the most. Last time I saw her she saw that I had Kikka’s towel on and was like “oh you’re a Kikka fan! That’s great!” And then sang and danced “Konna atashi” with me
