Hello!Pro Doujin games

20 February 2014 - 08:27 PM

So I've been going through a phase of obsession with Momusu。 Doujin games and thought I'd start a thread to share the ones I know of and see if anyone else knows where to find/download some others.

Lately I've been playing 娘。聖戦 (Musume。 Seisen), which is a very well made rpg which an interesting story and true to character dialogue.  The story primarily focuses on Morning Musume。, although the Berryz, ℃-ute and S/mileage are also all featured and playable.

It has a fairly standard (albeit rather simplistic) rpg battle system that's made interesting thanks to the coupling system (in which you get stats bonuses for having certain members together), and the fact that nearly all of the special moves (called neta/ネタ) are accompanied by actual voice clips and often video.  Furthermore all the in game music tracks are instrumental variations of Hello!Project songs and many of the enemies are Hello!Project related.

The most recent version (0.9910) can be downloaded from the developer's page here:

I also have played a bit of the recently finished (I think) ℃-ute RPG, which is also fairly well made.  Although it doesn't quite have Musume。Seisen's production value, it has true to character dialogue and an entertaining enough story.

And then of course there's "Hello! Project Battle Festival" which has had a thread here for years:

Anyways... if anyone else is interested in H!P games or have ones that they know of, please share~

The Minecraft Thread

28 July 2011 - 04:42 AM

I've been getting into Minecraft again lately and so I figured might as well start a thread for it here on H!O (since there doesn't appear to be one yet). Anyways if you don't know Minecraft is an Indie sandbox game developed by Notch wherein a world is randomly generated where you gather resources, craft and build stuff, fight monsters and pretty much do whatever you want. In any case who else plays this game?
Discuss, share screenshots from your world, advertise for you SMP servers or whatever else.

And also I thought I might as well post one of the rather "impressive" constructions in my main MC world
The (start of my) Miki-sama Monument!

I'm planning on replacing the stone with gold eventually but... it takes a long time to gather that much, LOL  Unfortunately the kanji aren't exactly proportional but... it took a long time just to get it that good.

Your Favorite Seiyuu

23 June 2010 - 07:59 PM

One of the most important parts of an anime, Seiyuu voice the characters in anime. They are one of the most important parts for me as I often choose what anime to watch based on which Seiyuu star in it.
Sooo... what Seiyuu do you all like?

Here's my favorites:

Mizuki Nana - Without a doubt, my favorite Seiyuu. She has voiced a large number of characters including Hyuuga Hinata (Naruto), Shinobu (Ninin ga Shinobuden), Colette Brunel (Tales of Symphonia), Akashiya Moka (Rosario to Vampire) and Hoshina Utau (Shugo Chara). In addition to having an adorable voice in anime, she also ia an excellent singer and has had a number of Oricon chart hits.

Tanaka Mayumi - Another famous Seiyuu, she has done the voices of a number of famous Jump characters including Kurirn and Yajirobe (Dragonball), Luckyman (Tottemo Luckyman) and Luffy (One Piece)

Nozawa Masako - The voice of Son Goku... must anything else be said? For over 20 years she's voiced one of Anime's most iconic figures, Son Goku, in Dragonball and it's sequels/spin-offs/games/movies etc.. In addition she did the voices of Goku's children Son Gohan and Son Goten. A very memorable voice, no doubt at all.

Wakamoto Norio - Most well known for the voice of Cell in Dragonball Z, he also voiced one of my favorite characters of all time: Onsokumaru from Ninin ga Shinobuden, one of the funniest characters in anime history.

Ito Kanae - The voice of Hinamori Amu, whom I'll admit to be somewhat of a fanboy for.. Despite the fact that I deslike the anime version of SC due to filler and such, the voice actors all do their job quite well and Ito Kanae proves to be a memorable voice.

And for the heck of it... Kusumi Koharu for her role as Kirari in Kirarin Revolution and Tanak Reina for her role as Kaito Reinya

Castlevania/Akumajou Dracula

27 March 2010 - 05:28 PM

Anyways... Castlevania/Akumajou Dracula was an Action/Platformer released for NES/FMC in 1987 by Konami. The story involved playing as Simon Belmont and traveling through Castlevania in order to kill Dracula. A number of interesting elements were involved including a number of sub-weapons (such as Holy Water and the Cross Boomerang). The game spawned many sequals/remakes/spin-offs etc.. on nearly every console.

Anyways Castlevania is one of my favorite series.... so who else has played these?

The Legend of Zelda

01 August 2009 - 01:31 AM

Well I've been in a real Zelda mood lately and I realized there isn't a thread for this here so... anywayzzz

The Legend of Zelda (THE HYRULE FANTASY ゼルダの伝説) was released in 1986 for Famicom/NES and was truly groundbreaking game. With it's huge world, mazelike dungeons, large inventory of items and hordes of enemies it was an epic adventure unlike anything else at the time. Due to it's success a sequel was made the following year, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (ゼルダの伝説 (パート) 2 リンクの冒険), which was much more RPG like (and more challenging in many regards) than it's predecessor. The series soon returned back to it's roots though when the acclaimed The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (ゼルダの伝説 神々のトライフォース) was released in 1991 for SFC/SNES and Link's Awakening on GB after that. Then in 1998 Ocarina of Time was released on N64 and the series truly became legendary with the games raving reviews and massive sales.

Over the years many more titles, all of them excellent, were released on nintendo's consoles and handhelds.

Anyways who else likes the zelda series? Share your thoughts, fandom and timeline theories (I'll be posting my timeline theory in the near future as I've recently come to a few realizations that forced me to rework my entire theory).
