Hey there, thanks for coming back, whenever you can. It's cool now that she's on twitter, and we can at least get some vague translation of her tweets directly on the site, but I'll always be glad to also have the blog, so thanks again.

Just got my copy of DREAM in the mail, from cdjapan. Sure is a lovely photobook, with an excellent mix of artsy/cutesy/sultry/bikini. Never thought I'd be getting another one of these in 2018. She looks amazing (though of course we must recognize that there is a heavy amount of airbrushing in such photos).

It sure is lovely alright. I feel like I just stepped in a time machine and went back 5 years. She still looks great. And I just never expected to see something like this from her again.

Rather than limbo, it might be best to say that they began the transition into the colorful era right after 2010's graduations, but it only becomes fully apparent with the graduation of Niigaki and Mitsui, and the big sales starting with One Two Three. It's always an era only in hindsight anyway, same with the Platinum term coming from the album name but it would have started as soon as Ai-chan became leader.

Probably around Blue Rose time she was nearing the back-end of being a bit too overworked, and that just has to show up a little bit even if you are so beautiful. Now she has been refreshed by her ability to balance her time to herself, and as you said, almost looks miraculously more like a younger self. I was wanting her to do this if she still had that sense too, but I didn't actually think that she was going to . . . And even if I thought she was going to I thought it would only be sort of refined adult poses, and am absolutely impressed that she is also going for bikini stuff again. Amazing.
