I've seen a part of MPD Psycho. I think it was with Chiaki Kuriyama in the church scene... rather interesting to say the least. I'll be looking forward to the episodes you and your group are subbing.I have watched JDramas that are based on anime and manga and they are: GTO, You're Under Arrest, Sailormoon, MPD Psycho.
Well, to start off, GTO means Great Teacher Onizuka. It was kinda loyal to the anime and manga and the portrayal was good. The live action is highly recommended and still number 1 in jdrama.com website.
As for You're Under Arrest, I liked it but fight scense is too choreographed. Natsumi is very cute everytime she's drunk.
Sailormoon live action is good if you're really into sentai. If you're not, you can just enjoy the beautiful girls. Rei/Sailor Mars is very cute and my favorite.
MPD Psycho - just watched it as raws and no subtitle. Our manga group, Radical Dreamers, is planning to subtitle it, i'll just notify you guys if we finished (I'm the one who will put the subtitles anyway, some other will translate the series for us)
I guess that's it.
I've haven't watched any JDramas that are purely JDramas and not based on an anime or manga. What do you recommend.
I haven't seen many Jdramas. The only ones I've seen and liked are Beginner and Divorce Lawyer. They're pretty boring action-wise because both are about lawyers.
Beginner is about law-school students who work together and try to pass the Bar. I think that's what is it about since there were no subs. They try to solve cases given to them by their teacher and there's romance and stuff.
Divorce Lawyer is exactly what the title says. Just follows a divorce lawyer through cases and stuff.
Mimura is in both of them and I think she might have been in the 6th season of Kinpachi Sensei but I can't really tell if it's her. She's so cute, but I wish I knew her last name.
