Kishimoto Erika

This manga by Minekura Kazuya (personally, my favorite manga-ka of all time!) has been going on for quite some time now. With publication started in 1997, it's still going strong, even to this day. At the moment, there have been several anime series of it as well, entitled: Saiyuki, Saiyuki Reload, and Saiyuki Reload Gunlock, plus a movie or two. The manga in Japan is currently at volume nine (as it is in English), and the tenth is expected soon!

I don't know what to say, really. I love this manga. I love the characters; and the artwork is amazing! Minekura-sensei did an amazing job of taking the old Chinese tale of "Xīyóu Jì", (or "Journey to the West" in English,) and adding a modern, interesting twist to it. The four protagonists have refreshing personalities that would best qualify them as "anti-heroes", if anything. Even the antagonists are intricate characters, as well.

Anyway, does anyone else here read this manga? Watch the anime?

I think it's about time she got her own thread. She's actually part American/Chinese/Filipina/French, but her songs are in Japanese. I first noticed her when she was on a show with Kanjani8's Nishikido Ryo, Yokoyama Yu, and Okura Tadayoshi. She had to have a translator there because she doesn't know Japanese fluently, but she did all right. (Also, Ryo-chan is a big fan of hers. He practically melted into the couch the first time she smiled at him. )

Okay, so she's obviously a beautiful young woman. She often wears contacts that makes her eyes look sort of feline. She's actually a gravure idol, (and a very successful one at that), as well as a race queen, (not sure which team, though), but she's been dabbling in the music industry as of late. It's safe to say, she's no angel.

Mainstream pop/ballads really, but she has a nice voice, and quite a following already.
